This is my favorite espresso: rich - creamy is almost a better word - with a gently toasted, dark chocolate taste. I was here two years ago and have dreamed about this place since then. Seriously. It's the best espresso I've ever had.
And part of it really is about the place. It's like a cross between a roadside coffee stand back in Washington State and a general store. There's not really places to sit, set up your laptop and be productive but it's a good place to linger a bit and be just social enough for New England.
In some coffee shops, they want to get everything done efficiently - and I appreciate it - but these folks at Bucklyn? These folks are craftspersons. They take the time to do it right and, if there's a wait, don't fret. It's so worth it.

I'm over the moon about Bucklyn Coffee, and I wish them a long and fruitful tenure. Hey Bangor... can you hear me? Drive down to Blue Hill to get some really...

The espresso might be the best I've had in all of Maine, though I'm sure there are some great options in Portland I haven't tried! If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop! The baked goods are nice too, especially the biscotti š. There's really no room to hang out inside, but that leads us to the location!
The location is really great, with just a stone's throw to the Atlantic ocean and a beautiful park! In warmer weather, grabbing an iced espresso and taking a walk around anywhere near the...
