This place is near perfect. I moved from New York to West Virginia and when I saw Tudorâs Biscuit World, I just laughed at it. Silly Hillbillies, a biscuit world? C'mon now. What do they eat? Biscuits and gravy? No thanks. When my daughter visited from San Diego we laughed at it together. When my daughter went back to San Diego, her friend from Bluefield told her that "Tooties" was so good, they would cut school to go there. So, I gave them a try. Wow. This place has super awesome biscuit sandwiches. I first tried the Mary B. Bacon, egg & cheese on a biscuit. The bacon was perfectly cooked, somewhat crispy, but not hard. The real egg was perfectly cooked, the very center on the yolk was visibly damp, but not able to drip. The very large biscuit was indescribably perfect, not the least bit dry. On my next visit, I had the Tootie, Country ham, egg & cheese. Unreal. At first glace, I thought the sandwich slid apart, as the ham hung an inch and a half over the large biscuit, but I then noticed it hung an inch over the other sides. A nice thick, juicy, yummy slice of perfect country ham. The whole thing was just perfect. There are lots of other things on the menu, but if I try them I can't have a Tootie, and I really don't see that happening. My only complaint is that when I arrived in WV and registered my car, the DMV did not tell me about Tudor's. There ought to be a law. Go there, get a Tootie,...
Read moreI used to go here and eat breakfast just about everyday. Last two times I went through the drive through they messed up on my Order. So I decided I was gonna go in. The worst experience I've ever had in a Restaurant in my life. I sit in the lobby waiting thirty minutes for a biscuit. After 30 minutes, I get up and ask them. What's going on? That I had to be at work. I watched 4 cars get waited on thru drive thru . Me still waiting on 1 Tottie. The lady that was cooking could not keep her hands out of her hair. I finally get my biscuit that was not even warm. I end up just telling them to keep the money and biscuit. It had a big chunk out of biscuit. Looked like she took a bit.UPDATE Decided to give this place another chance. Ordered an egg Melt through drive through. Got there at 11:41am They told me to pull up.12:11 Still haven't got my food. Three people that was behind me got their food. How long does it take to fry an egg. Ended up having to leave. Got more things To do then waiting An hour for them to fry an egg. No refund no food. Just a...
Read moreThis is a true southern comfort food place. Open early in the morning, and closing by 1400, they are joined with a pizza/sub place that picks up for afternoon and dinner hours. Tudorâs Biscuit World is a chain, and as such, they often reflect the local population, both behind the counter, and customers. The servers will melt your heart with âdarlinâ, âhoneyâ, âsweetieâ, âyâallâ, and the killer smiles. The food is formulaic. The biscuits are commercial; heavy and tasteless, and dry, serving only as a platform for their limited sandwich offerings. The biscuits and gravy are nothing to write home about - with the gravy being plain, and though a generous portion, still not enough to wet two dry buisuit halves. The âeverythingâ burrito was quite good - fresh off the grill, with quality ingredients, and a flavorful taste. And with the smiles, southern drawl and speech, who cares about the food anyway ? A stop here will brighten your whole day, and feed your soul. ...
