They really need to work on their customer service. Also although the food was cooked well the flavors were bland.

Came here for my birthday and I am quite disappointed that we didn't just wait for Comb Ridge to open. First off when I asked for a table at the back, they have the best views, I was told that those were reserved for large parties. No one was there for the majority of our time and there were 4 tables that remained empty the entire time.

It took 15 minutes for us to just get our drinks. I asked about our salads & she said they would be a few minutes (now I've worked as a server, salads are generally the first things up in the window & take less than a minute to throw together). In the meantime she casually starts bussing tables and chatting with a fellow coworker. I politely ask about our salads & she apologized and said they would be out in a minute. That minute was an additional 15 minutes because she started bussing a table of 10 at the back. We finally got our salads but didn't even take one bite before our meals were brought out. Not happy!

The food itself was decent. 18 dollars for two pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn is a bit exorbitant even for this area! Add to that there wasn't any seasoning in the chicken or potatoes. They were prepared well but the flavors were lacking and the corn was mushey. I'm pretty sure it was over cooked canned corn. The corn oddly enough was seasoned but the flavors just didn't blend well.

For my girls I got them a side of scrambled eggs. Luckily they are young enough not to care too much but the eggs were over cooked. Also from looking at it, they just plopped two eggs on the grill, turned them out & just left them to cook into one blob. Nothing added, no cream or milk, and definitely no seasonings.

We will not be...

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, a group of 20 came to this restaurant. We had called ahead and let them know we were coming. This same group had made this an annual treat for the past 8 years.

When we arrived, we were seated at two tables next to each other. After about 10 minutes, the server finally showed up and stated, “I was told to tell you that there will be an automatic 20% gratuity added and WE DON’T SPLIT CHECKS!” We were surprised by the last statement. The group had traveled together for 5 days and all restaurants were accommodating. So, we all looked at each other and got up and left. On the way out, 5 of our group were willing to stay because one of them needed food for a health condition. The manager came and told all of us to go somewhere else. (And then she sat back down to chat with her friends!)

Here’s the thing. We are all adults. 40-70 year olds. We weren’t obnoxious. We didn’t yell and scream. We were in shock actually. In the day and age where businesses are hurting for paying customers, this one was obviously not interested.

We get that restaurants are short staffed, but technology has made it extremely fast and simple to meet the demands of the customers - like split checks. Especially if the manager is a team player and helps out their staff. In our estimation, the server missed out on $80+ in tips. I wonder if the manager paid the server that $80 out of her pocket because of their inflexibility? I’m guessing she didn’t. She didn’t seem the type.

IF YOU EXPECT SPLIT CHECKS, DEFINITELY SKIP THIS PLACE. IF YOU DO VISIT, LET THE MANAGER KNOW HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE HER. I’M SURE THE TOWN OF BLUFF, UTAH WILL SEE A DROP IN...

If you’re ever in the Four Corners area, you may want to take a trip up to Bluff, Utah. Bluff is an extremely small town that is surrounded by several state and national parks, as well as, Monument Valley. In Bluff, you will find one of the best breakfast places in the area, Twin Rocks Cafe. We spent five days here touring around the area. Every morning we would stop here to fill up before heading out for the day. My favorite breakfast is the bear ears scramble. It is a beautiful bowl with scrambled eggs and fresh, locally grown vegetables, surrounded on either side with Navajo fry bread. My husband had the basic eggs, bacon and fried bread. For him, the eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was delicious and of course, who doesn’t love fry bread. My daughter had the fry bread biscuits, sausage, and gravy. There was so much food, she had to pack it up and take it home for snack later on in the day. Two days, we ate lunch there. Hubby had a freshly made hamburger, cooked to order and deliciously seasoned french fries. My daughter and I had the Caesar salad with roasted chicken. My daughter‘s wife chose the Merry Berry salad. As with breakfast, all the food was beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. Whether we ate there for breakfast or lunch, the servers were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive and outgoing. We were surprised at how well they work together as a team. I would highly recommend taking time to stop here for either breakfast or lunch as you...

This place was very nice, priced a bit high on the food ,( pictures are below to show portions) I got a chicken fried chicken with gravy, potato salad, Cole slaw it was $20.00 & my husband had bbq brisket with same sides ( no choice on sides) it was more I think 25.00. It comes with delicious navajo fried bread with honey butter NOW THAT WAS SO GD & the host did give us some to go when we asked & that was super nice & very well appreciated. This place is beautiful, the staff do were masks & are very clean on tables ect & are very efficient & nice. They serve great coffee, tea, beers & wine & their desserts look really good too. (In fairness on the prices with it being in a remote area & food supply cost what they are today, it may be more then fair ), but I've had same else where with mash potatoes & veggies large portions for only 10.00-13.00 in different states & I travel to many states so idk . But it is a place I would go back to & it is a wonderful place to visit & there looks like they have a camp ground & trading post area too. Go check it out. You must visit.

Great fry bread. Whether in a dessert, taco or a burger, their Navajo Fry Bread is delicious. I went with the Navajo Taco and was impressed. I know some places seem to just dump some Dennison's beans on the bread, but this was different. Local beans were used. We also ordered two Navajo Burgers. One was on Fry Bread, the other was on Ash Bread. While the Fry Bread is bubbly and light, the Ash is thicker and more compact. Sort of like a Mexican sope or a thick pizza crust. While good, we agreed the Fry Bread was better on the burger. For pizza, which they serve, I think the Ash would work well. We also had a peach dessert that was very good and big. Service was outstanding and the gift shop attached had a nice assortment of items. An all-around nice visit.
