Disappointing Experience with Room for Improvement
SWIG Cafe seemed promising at first glance, with a modern layout and comfortable seating, making it look like a great spot to relax or work. However, my experience was less than ideal. I ordered an iced caramel latte and a veggie wrap, hoping for a quick, tasty lunch, but both items missed the mark.
The iced caramel latte was overly sweet, almost masking any coffee flavor, and it lacked the depth I expect from a well-made espresso drink. Additionally, it was filled with so much ice that there was barely any actual beverage to enjoy. The veggie wrap, while nicely presented, was surprisingly bland. The vegetables tasted fresh, but there wasnât enough seasoning or sauce to make it flavorful, leaving the wrap dry and uninspiring.
The service was another issue. Although SWIG wasnât busy, it took over 15 minutes to receive my drink and another 10 for the wrap, which seemed slow for a casual cafe. The staff seemed polite but somewhat disengaged, and they didnât check in to see if everything was okay.
While SWIG Cafe has potential, the combination of overly sweet coffee, bland food, and slow service made for a disappointing visit. I wouldnât recommend it unless they address these areas for...
Read moreI was surprised to see this location had a 1-Star review when it wasn't even opened, so thought I would come by for the "Free" day today (which the other reviewer said they paid $4 for their drink, which makes me think they were drinking "something else" if you know what I mean đ)
I usually try to avoid the openings because I've seen the long lines at other locations, but decided to give this one a shot. The line was backed up into the field when I entered at 11:55 AM, and by 11:58 AM I had free cookies in my hand! Ok! Not bad!!
I placed my order at 12:01 PM and had my drink by 12:06 PM! From the look of the line, I never would have guessed I'd make it all the way through in around 10 minutes!
Kudos to the incredible staff! I even saw the car in front of me make a request to have one of the Swig staff hand a cookie to a child in the backseat. Love seeing people go the extra mile!
Keep up the great work and I'm sure I'll be...
Read moreWe decided to walk to this location since it was close to our neighborhood, excited to get a drink. However, Ellie rudely stated we werenât allowed to order in person without a car unless we were kids. She redirected us to the app to order curbside, which we obliged (mind you, the curbside pickup spot was just a couple of steps away from the drive through). The app wasnât functioning properly, and would not take any of the 4 payment methods we tried between two different phones. We called the store from just outside the door, and Ellie said she wasnât able to help us because âit wasnât her job to handle the appâ. There was a nice person in their car who offered to order for us. We ended up leaving after Ellie...
