China One — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I’m a huge fan of Chinese food. That being said China One isn’t the best one I have ever had but I would rank it above most within the Boca area. Now, this establishment is pretty average when it comes to a Chinese restaurants. What I mean by that is the prices, cook times, and menu are all pretty standard amongst Chinese restaurants. Now the reason I give this place the star rating I did is because like I said they are pretty basic but they sand out with a few things.

First and foremost, they follow your request no matter how you order. I’m not a fan of onions so I request them not to be in my rice and not once have I found any onions which isn’t something I can say for most places.

Secondly, the little noodle bags. Now I know most people don’t eat them but I think they add a nice crunch to rice if you crumble them which I like. Most places have adapted these little round noodles which aren’t the best. The flat ones are the best. Now on a serious note.

The chicken... I love sweet and sour chicken. Most places give you a ratio of like 30% chicken and 70% breading. For the most part ( I’d say 3/4 times ) the chicken is lightly breaded. It not only taste better but it’s more value for you money so I’m a fan.

This is strictly a take out place, but has a few tables to sit at if you want to eat inside or there's a patio area outside with a few tables. I have been eating here for over 19 years. The owners are the children of the take out restaurant in the 1980's on Glades Rd called Mai Mai which I frequented often. There food is consistent and very tasty. I really enjoy their Won Ton soup its always delicious, and better than any others in town. We always order the family pack which gives you a lot of food for leftovers and lunches if you aren't a huge eater. I love their Pork with Chinese vegetables, Chicken & Veggie fried rice, their Chicken & Veggie Lo-Mein. My husband loves their Honey Garlic Chicken, General Tao's and Orange chicken. Their egg rolls are good as well. And if there is any problems with their food they always make it right. They sell Sushi as well, however I haven't tried it. There are very few take out places that good in Boca. I will always stick with China One because of their consistent quality....

Honestly this is my fav little place to get sushi! The rolls are big, the portions are big, the taste is always fresh and the staff knows us by heart now. Anyone who pays attention that well and knows our order every time deserves praise. Love the staff here. We order the Ocean Roll 2x a week and it’s always amazing and very fresh. I’ve had the Jumbo Shrimp roll and that was very good as well. They have no issue modifying any roll if needed as I don’t eat certain things so it’s a big plus! Their menu is also huge, and their Chinese section is also very good. We have had the honey garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken and both were wonderful and the tempura batter is very nice.
