To start off I've been frequenting this Taco Bell since it opened back when I was in high school from the years 2009 to 2013. Normally, I have no issues are qualms with the institution. However, it seems the political landscape/discourse of the country has taken hold. From about 2015 onward, this Taco Bell has been a predominantly black / African American business and that is ultimately a net good! No issues with that whatsoever. However as of recent events it seems like there is an adversarial relationship between the predominant group of people who live in the area (white/judeo Christian people) and the predominantly African descendant staff.
I was a patron tonight as I was many other nights and I was a concert because apparently I was being sarcastic for asking questions about the menu. There were many items that were not available and I asked about one time to see if they were available but I was told / gaslighted into believing that I had asked more than once when I was pretty clear that I didn't. I was accused of being sarcastic and nasty so I left the line and went back around waiting for about an extra 15 minutes which is okay.
When I went back through the line I made the same order as I made before but without any major issue other than that I was asked to repeat myself for certain things about three times and then I made my order and went to the window. The same agent who gave me a lot of grief on my first time around was relatively cordial. I did make note of the fact that I went through at the very end of the order and I will admit that that was a bit petty on my part. Still, I wasn't really pleased with this level of discrimination / bias due to maybe an issue of stress that this individual, who I'm assuming was female, was dealing with. I would really appreciate though in the future that more patients would be exercised even though there may be a rush going on for food. I will confess that this took place at about 11:30 to 12:00 in the morning. I wish nothing but the best for the staff and all of their success regardless of race / religion / political beliefs/gender affiliation. For the majority of time that I have frequented the Taco Bell the institution has been relatively solid save for forgetting a few items (This time was no exception they forgot the Diablo sauce even though I mentioned it three times). Peace be...
Read moreThis is the closest Taco Bell to where I work, so I stop here on occasion going to or from work. Normally I go through the drive-thru, and the service is usually fine, although almost every time my chalupas will not be warm, and usually stale. On my most recent visit yesterday, I dined inside for a change.
The dining area was pretty dirty, several of the tables had not been wiped down in some time, and when I went to a clean table, there was shredded cheese on the seat and I had to clear the seat off. As I sat waiting for my order I noticed wallpaper or part of the ceiling drooping in 2 places underneath the overhead menus! (See included photo.) The place is falling apart.
A personal message to the Taco Bell corporation: You have some great products, your sauces are excellent! But Taco Bell in particular seems to hire the worst employees, they all seem to have terrible attitudes and could not care less.
At a previous visit to a different Taco Bell they actually dropped my food on the floor before it got to me. I'm not sure if I'll be able to tolerate Taco Bell much longer, all fast food seems to be going down the drain pretty quickly now. Here, it seems a lot of the employees don't even speak English.
The two stars I gave for the excellent sauces, and the sometimes-warm (but rarely) chalupas, and that's all.
Taco Bell might do best buy selling their sauces at retail and just closing everything else down. There just isn't much to recommend for Taco Bell anymore. And it is a terrible shame; when almost all of the fast food places have gone out of business because of terrible employees and run-down buildings, I will look back and probably miss Taco...
Read moreThe worst experience here I've ever had in my time living in boca. Got to the drive through window, tried to order some items and was told "we can't make that the griller is broken" by the employee. so I tried to make a different order and was told those items were also unable to be made. I asked "ok, so what can you make?" And was met with 30 seconds of silence. No response, leaving me in the line holding up cars now. After I asked for something I didn't really want but knew they could make, my partner made their separate order. Upon reaching the drive through window I politely asked if something could be added onto the first order and was told "no we don't do add-ons". First of all, I've done it before and they do. Secondly, it's INSANELY RUDE to refuse someone adding on an item after telling them you can't make any of what they wanted and refusing to help them figure out what they can order. To make matters worse, once my girlfriend got her box, the drink was literally half water, half soda. We sent it back only for them to tell us "oh, we're out of Baja blast now" after we just paid for the meal. This behavior is absurd. We had to select another drink they finally weren't out of. Even for fast food standards this left us completely and utterly dissatisfied.
I also tried to call afterward and speak to a manager, and I have called this late past 12am before, and the phone line was busy for over an hour. Either the line is disconnected or someone's refusing calls, which...
