You know what? I had my reservations about this place, especially being not much of a cheese person. I'd always dodged it like it was contagious! But man, am I glad my friends talked me into giving it a shot!
Parking? A breeze. They've got space all around, so no need to sweat it. Walking in, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the ambiance was adorable, with just the right dim lighting to set a cozy vibe. Each table was in its own little nook, complete with curtains for those seeking a more intimate experience—something I'd never seen before.
The hostess was welcoming, and while we waited for our table, Garrett at the bar made the time fly with his friendly chatter and efficient service. Even though he was juggling multiple tasks, he made us feel like we were the only ones there.
I had my fingers crossed for an upstairs table, but we ended up downstairs, which was fine in the end. And when Garrett turned out to be our server, it was like a sigh of relief—we knew we were in good hands. He walked us through the menu patiently, answering all my newbie questions and even ensuring I knew which dishes contained pork, given my dietary restrictions.
Now, onto the food. The cheese fondue was up first, and Garrett's recommendation of the Fiesta was spot-on. Extra jalapenos? Yes, please! I'm not big on cheese, but the nachos he brought as an alternative hit the spot. As for the Charcuterie Board, I had to pass due to my pork aversion, but my friends devoured it, leaving me to indulge in the Double Dippers.
The salad course came next, and the Caesar with pine nuts was a pleasant surprise. The touch of sweetness elevated it to another level—I could've eaten a whole bowl!
Moving on to the third course, the entree fondue! Garrett suggested the mojo, and for my selections, I went with the "create your own" option. Here's what I chose:
Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast Brown Sugar Bourbon Rub Steak Teriyaki-Marinated Steak Chicken Potstickers Wild Mushroom Ravioli
Now, let me tell you about the stars of the show: the Ravioli, Potstickers, and Teriyaki Steak! They were absolutely outstanding, beyond anything I could have imagined.
The Wild Mushroom Ravioli was like a burst of flavor with every bite. The delicate pasta, stuffed with rich, earthy mushrooms, paired perfectly with the savory broth of the fondue. It was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more.
Next up, the Chicken Potstickers. Oh, where do I even begin? These little pockets of joy were perfectly filled with tender, flavorful chicken. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes that danced on my palate, leaving me utterly delighted.
And finally, the Teriyaki-Marinated Steak. The steak was beautifully balanced with sweetness from the teriyaki marinade and sauce. It practically melted in my mouth, leaving behind an unforgettable flavor that lingered long after each bite.
While the Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast and Brown Sugar Bourbon Rub Steak were good, they didn't quite reach the same level of culinary bliss as the Ravioli, Potstickers, and Teriyaki Steak. These three dishes were the true highlights of the meal, and I simply cannot wait to indulge in them again on my next visit!
Now, onto the grand finale: the chocolate fondue. It was undeniably delicious, but given my aversion to sweets, it was a bit overwhelming for me. I opted for just milk chocolate fondue without any additional toppings, and I was able to enjoy it. I did indulge in the "All Three Sweet Additions" and the Chocolate Explosion with the confetti cake. Dipping the bananas was a highlight, but beyond that, the sugar rush was a bit much for my taste. However, my friends and partner thoroughly enjoyed dipping everything else, so I'm confident that most people would love it!
All in all, it was a great experience. Good company, great service from Garrett, and that ravioli—I'll definitely be back for more. Now that I've sampled a bit of everything, I know exactly what to order next time. Thanks, Garrett, I'm "Down To Fondue" with you anytime—guess this is the only...

Update 1 year later: we tried again and even worse. We had a reservation and were seated 15 minutes late, although there were no other patrons waiting (every table was full, so bad reservation management - ours was early at 6.30). We were seated upstairs and service was ok until my eyes were swollen shut from the amount of unfiltered individual grill smoke (one of the cooking options is a grill). I could not see, and was tearing up uncontrollably. The waiter was nowhere to be found for quite some time, and the busboy I stopped was apologetic but clueless about how to respond. I had to ask him to bring the manager, who immediately offered to comp me to leave.
I asked for a lower floor table. It was my daughters birthday dinner after all, and the first restaurant we have been to in nearly a year. Much better atmosphere, but the service was terrible. We had been there for 2.5 hours (2 adults and 2 little kids), cooked our own food, damaged our eyes from smoke, and FINALLY... dessert course. I CLEARLY asked our server to expedite the check WHEN she was taking our dessert order (finally) so we could leave quickly. The birthday girl had already fallen asleep.
They only brought enough dessert for the kids, although we ordered the top dinner for two + $12 for lobster, and the upgraded childrens combo. The server never came back after the dessert order. We waited 20 minutes AFTER dessert was complete for the anxious and underperforming manager to happen by so we could BEG for the check. We were CHECK HOSTAGES. My biggest irritation, coupled with bad environment, bad reservation management, bad service, bad management, and I COOKED MY OWN FOOD and my kids food, in a hot, smelly, steaming, boiling pot, but paid like we were served a real filet and lobster dinner.
Never again!
1 year ago before COVID: We went to this restaurant under a reservation for my daughter's birthday. The ambiance was fun and the food was tasty, although I suppose compliments to the chef do not apply. We had two four course entrees and two kids combos with beverages for around $180. The sever was a heavily tattooed young woman and was unfriendly and not attentive enough. I spent half my meal stuck in my booth with a large party's bussed table items at my elbow. She also did not bring my dessert beverage and when she came with the check she just said "Sorry. That was my fault." and dropped my nearly $200 check. Although my daughter got a really cute card when we checked in, and we heard other birthdays being graciously celebrated by the staff, my 7 year old sadly was overlooked on her special day. As I have said in other reviews, I am ok with an expensive meal as long as the food is of a certain quality (this was) and the service is at the same level (this was definitely not). I might give it another try, but not for a good...

Simply cannot say enough nice and positive things about my experience!
First of all, know that when we arrived the restaurant was VERY busy, which was to be expected on Mother's Day! It's one thing to be able to right a positive review when the employees aren't being pushed to the max, it's a whole different thing to be able to do the same when they are!
From the minute we entered we were surrounded by very pleasant, smiling and welcoming staff. The bartender was handing out complimentary "Mom"ossa's along with her regular duties and you'd have thought she was the one being treated!
Once seated (as other's have said, the private booths with the option to close your curtain is the best!), we quickly met the star of our experience, Keegan! This young man truly could have made a bad meal (which wasn't the case!) an enjoyable experience. Keegan is polite, professional, enthusiastic and truly fun to be around. He truly is a priceless asset to this establishment, and certainly would be to any employer!
Every member of the staff the we encountered throughout the afternoon was professional, pleasant and seemed genuinely happy. What a plus!
Then there was the food. Everything was top notch, presented beautifully and awesome!
It's been far to long since I've been to the Melting Pot. I had truly forgotten that to have a meal here is so much more..it's an awesome experience that allows you to really enjoy your food and time with people you care about.
As we were leaving, full to the brim and very happy, my daughter and I were handed roses. NOTE: I don't mean we were each handed a single rose just given as a token, I mean we were given a beautiful group of roses complete with babies breath.
I would highly recommend The Melting Pot in Boca to anyone, for any occasion where they wanted an awesome meal together with a wonderful experience with the people in...
