Can't believe I am writing this, but I did give myself 2 days to cool off. Its been a minute since I have seen service so bad, which is a terrible shame because the food is great. Either order take out, or take a chance. To be fair, we must have just had bad luck because the young woman we had was a petty, childish, immature person that had no business in Hospitality. We entered the restaurant literally laughing and joking and having a good time having just come back from the Marlins baseball game. By the time we left everyone was frustrated, unhappy, and made to feel like their business could care less about its patronsBy the time we left everyone was frustrated, unhappy, and made to feel like their business could care less about its patrons. To set the scene understand that there was 4 tables occupied when we entered and our young server had us and another table finishing up as her clients. Everything went wrong when I asked her for a minute to look over the menu. Boy did I pay for that... After disappearing for about 15 minutes without even finishing our drink order she finally came back and it got no better from there. We sat there almost yelling for her to come back over while she finished up the one other table she had and then went on to box up what looked like to go orders even though there were 4 other servers standing around doing nothing she made sure that we waited a long time before she returned. Kind of petty....and like a 12 year old would act. We should have got up and went somewhere else but we were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and each time she came over we were more and more friendly. That did not help in fact I think it made it worse. Throughout the course of a wonderful dinner she either disappeared, again she had no other table the place is not that big, Or she would stomp over and act like we were the worst by asking for a fork or a glass of ice. You would have thought we were asking for her child to be sacrificed to allah. You win young lady, you really showed us! You turned what was a joyous evening into one of the worst dining (service not doi) experiences I have had in my 50+ years of dining out. A person that makes sure that no other people are happy should never be in the hospitality industry.. Other than ask for a minute to peruse a large and delicious menu we did absolutely nothing to warrant that kind of behavior. We are sorry you had to work on a Saturday or maybe your goldfish died or maybe your underwear was too tight? Whatever it was you had absolutely know right to make 4 people feel the way you did for no reason other than selfish pettiness. I didn't catch her name or else I would post it to beware but I can tell you she was the youngest server that was on that night and the most unhappy soul I have...
Read moreMy wife and I eat at Pizza Time in East Boca at least once a week for many years. Tonight I was feeling a little tired, so I call in for a take out. I live in West Boca , Palmetto and Lyons area which is a 25 minute drive. I placed the order at 4:50 pm and immediatly got in the car to go pick it up. When I got there at 5:20 I was greeted by the gentlemen that works the door who knows me by name. I went upto the cashier and paid for my meals, and I was then instucted to wait outside in front of the restaurant. Moments later The gentlemen that greets said"Mitchell, I have your order, where is your carI will have the bus boy put it in for you. I then drove home and as I was pulling in my driveway, my phone was ringing from Pizza Time. I was told that I was given the wrong order and I should come back. I get back into the car and start to head back there. While I was driving back, Pizza Time call me again looking for their food, the person that ordered it was waiting for it. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, they removed the food from my trunk and brought out my meals. An hour has alreaddy transpired since I first picked up the wrong order, and now they give me cold pizza, and to Luke warm pasta dishes. When I mentioned to the gentleman that put the food in my car that the pizza was cold, he said they would make me another one, I stupidly asked about my two dishes, and they said they would not do anything about it. I drove off mad as hell and called Pizza Time back and explained to them what had transpired, she told me to come back again and they would make me a new pizza and reheat my meals. That wouyuld the concume another hour of my time between the wait and driving home. The woman that was at the register is the one I had been talking to and really did not care. Innstead of trying to right the situation, the rude person hung up on me. It has now been over two hours and two trips and I am eating cold food.I did not screw up the order, they did, why should I have to eat cold food hours after I ordered it. I will say that their food is good, but Iwill not be abused by an obnoxious cashier and a greeater that gave me the wrong food. Mistakes happen, but do the right thing and make sure your...
Read moreAn authentic and unforgettable experience in South Florida, Pizza Time is the epitome of the warmth, generosity and feel good family values that is the Italian culture. Perfectly unassuming as it's name suggests, what you see is what you get. The focus here is on the pizza and the people period. We thought we were going to have good pizza, we were referred to Pizza Time for "really good" pizza, what we received was unbelievably good pizza! With extraordinary service.
It's been almost 5 months since we sat at a booth in the high energy yet, calm atmosphere of Pizza Time and the experience was so immersive, so memorable and so wonderfully satisfying and incredibly friendly that I can write this review even now with absolute clarity and accuracy of our experience.
No reservations. First come first serve. So we waited patiently with positive expectation. Once inside and seated we were surrounded by brick walls adorned with autographed photos of famous faces that had at one time shared the same experience and also by the faces of family reinforcing the values of trust and feeling of love that was palpable the moment you entered. Gaetano gave new meaning to 'say it loud and say it proud!' Commanding attention with humility to keep everyone happy and present in the moment. Conversations between the staff and the kitchen swirl openly all around you - we were in Gae's house and his casa quickly became our casa.
The food portions were as generous as the taste and quality. This is what skill and passion taste like. This is a simple and powerfully spectacular restaurant that you must experience when you're in Boca Raton. There was someone waiting for a pick up order who drove all the way from Miami....Pizza Time is that good. Grazie mille Gaetano and the staff at Pizza Time! Meeting you and experiencing your hospitality was one of the highlights of our trip. You are blessed to be a blessing to many as you were...
