I have been dining at Patio since it first opened. The food is incredible however I went back last night after awhile since Covid and I have to say I was extremely disappointed in the wait staff and sadly don’t think I’ll be back because of it. My friends and I were having a girls night out and by 9:40 the wait staff was rushing us to leave. Taking our wine glasses before they were empty and by 10 they even asked to clear the table of our water glasses when we were still there talking and thirsty. My friends and I have never seen or been anywhere like it. I have worked in several restaurants in the past myself and still have never seen waiters do this. If people want to sit and talk with their glasses of wine and water and the kitchen is closing, leave it there for the next morning to clean up if you’re in that big of a rush to go home. Don’t shut the lights off, clear all there items off of the table and make them feel so uncomfortable. This is not a cheap enough place to be doing this and let’s be honest, closing at 10 pm on a Saturday night is a bit early. Super disappointed! I’m not one to speak up but if the owners were there I would have loved to mention it to them since I met them several times. Hoping they will see this and improve this ASAP or I won’t be coming back sadly due to...
Read moreThere's food, and then there's feast. Patio Tapas & Beer is the latter. This unassuming, but glorious restaurant next to a French patisserie and across from a parking lot will blow you away with its simplicity and its absolute beauty, served on each and every plate. Patio is lively, welcoming, and a dining experience befitting the most passionate food fiend. Almost better than the food (almost) are your lovely servers - muchas gracias to you all.
The Duck Breast montadito may be the most perfect bite of food I have ever had in my life. It, quite literally, brought tears to my eyes. The churassco with marble potatoes, MOJO Verde topped with arugula is nothing short of proof of God.
This, THIS, is how you show love through food.
I wouldn't just bring friends or family to patio. I hope everyone, everywhere gets a chance to try this little miracle in Boca Raton. Trust me when I tell you, you will not be disappointed.
Highest possible recommendation for the best meal I have had so far this year. Que Dios te...
Read moreWhere have you seen "gambas al ajillo" without garlic, when garlic is the main ingredient along with the shrimp? When I asked about this essential ingredient, the waitress said that it was initially there, but because it was windy it flew away (REALLY????? flying garlic??? LOL). Additionally, the oil in the "gambas al ajillo" was not even olive oil and if it was, it was a really low quality oil. The wine was turned and when I brought it to the attention of the waitress, her immediate excuse was that it was a new bottle and she could only offer a different wine, refusing to open a new bottle of the wine I wanted (It's funny that she said that because when she was serving the wine at the bar I was in line to use the restroom and I could see how the waitress used two already open bottles to fill up our glasses). CONCLUSION: I am from Spain and can tell you that this is NOT Spanish...
