VI Coffee Bar is the creation of Sarah Mark, a local FAU alumna. It is located in the Camino Shops on Federal Highway, a few doors down from Cluck Face Nashville Hot Chicken. VI (six) Coffee Bar serves craft coffee, breakfast, lunch, pastries, beer, and wine in a cozy setting. There are tables and bar counter seating but they also have a nice side yard outdoor space with tables and chairs for those who would like to enjoy eating in the Florida sunshine.
I was still craving a chopped chicken Caesar wrap and after being let down by Vinny's I saw this viral wrap pop up on a few Instagram accounts of people I follow who have been to VI Coffee Bar. I had a day off and headed over for lunch and I am to report that VI delivered on all accounts.
I ordered the VI famous Chicken Caesar Wrap ( $14) which you can also have as a salad. It is made with house-made Caesar dressing, romaine, sourdough croutons, parmesan, and roasted chicken in a flour tortilla. The filling is chopped, stacked, and lovingly tucked into the wrap. You can tell the care that goes into the food here and that the ingredient quality is top notch. I also ordered the seasonal Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Latte ($8.50), a chocolate and strawberry latte topped with a giant chocolate covered strawberry. I loved this coffee masterpiece down to the last sip. This place is so cute, the service was friendly and prompt, and the food and coffee was incredible. You can't ask for anything...
Read moreAh, nothing says “thank you for your loyalty” like a coffee shop completely ditching its old rewards system with zero notice, zero grace, and zero care. If you had points saved up—congrats, they’re now part of history. Shocking.
But don’t worry—if you ask about it, you’ll be treated to a warm cup of condescension from the staff. Apparently, running a small business now includes talking down to paying customers who dare question why their loyalty is being tossed aside. It’s a bold strategy to alienate your regulars while pretending you’re the only café in town.
And if you check out the other reviews (spoiler: you’re not alone), you’ll notice a pattern. Legitimate concerns are met with snippy, self-important responses, as if customers should be grateful for the privilege of being patronized—both literally and figuratively.
They seem to have forgotten they still need customers to keep the doors open. But hey—plenty of other places nearby serve great coffee without the ego trip. I’ll take my money, my caffeine addiction, and my...
Read moreWow, what a revelation this coffee bar has been in my life! I have been steadily coming back to this establishment for the past month, and it has truly elevated my mornings, and as a result, has elevated the entire rest of my day. When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly and exceptional staff, who are true masters at their craft. I happen to prefer the latte, and at most coffee shops in the area I need to add sugar, or some sort of sweetener. Yet here, my little mug of heaven needs no fixing. As I am sitting, enjoying my coffee, the morning sunlight peaks through the eastern windows just enough to invite the day in, but not blind me at the same time. The positive vibes that encapsulate this coffee bar are hard to put into words. You are just going to have to try...
