Bush's Chicken — Restaurant in Boerne

If there was a zero star option, I would have picked that option. Worst example of management and service I have ever seen. My order was taken at 6:46 pm and my food arrived to my car at 7:15 pm. I was the second car in the inside lane and 3 cars in the outside lane who ordered after me and the car ahead of me received their meals first. The young lady who took my order said the guys were stronger and quicker than her. I asked for a manager. The young man who said he was a manager confirmed that the chicken orders came out not the order in which they were placed but in the order the servers could get to the chicken. I was surprised and asked him if he was the manager and he then said no, she is pointing to another female employee. She confirmed that it was not first come first served but the quickest to the chicken got it to their customers first. I asked if that was fair, she said no but that is how it is. She then said guys are faster than the girls and they have new people that need to be trained. I asked why she was not training them and she said she was too busy. Dining room has been closed for over 2 years now, so 1 star on atmosphere. Service was terrible, so 1 star. Food was cold, so 1 star. I ordered over the phone at 5:56pm. Was told 10 to 15 minutes. I arrived at 6:15pm expecting to be handed food...but they handed food to everyone else in line except me. I was the last one...waiting all alone. Finally I demanded my money back and they told me one second and went inside. 2 minutes later they come to the door with attitude and say "do you want your money back or your food?". I took the food and asked to be compensated for the extra 30 minutes of waiting. They refused to do anything, not even a cup of sweet tea. So I gave them back the food and requested a refund. I will never set foot in a bushes again. The bushes chicken in boerne will be shut down in less than 12 months time. Im not sure how they are open even today with how terrible they're service has always been. I think it's because the people of boerne are kind and patient people. I had to drive 25 minutes to get much anticipated Bush’s chicken. I was the only one in the store and was finally greeted by this guy behind the counter who looked like he needed some rest and recovery. He was dressed all in black, dirty, and real bad hair. No expression, eye contact, or volume. I ordered the family meal and an order of livers(my wife loves them and this is why we chose Bush’s). I was told it would be 7 minutes to cook the livers which I knew. He started to ring me up when another worker walked up and told him they had no livers. I asked why and was given some lame excuse. Anyway, I told them to just place the Family order. He packed it up and rang me up. I asked if gravy came with that and was told it did not. I had to add a small gravy for about 4 bucks. I left very disappointed in the customer service of a company I have visited many times in other locations. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked several hours earlier. I realized later the guy had charged me for the livers!! No more Bush’s Chicken in...
