If you’re looking for gluten-free Asian food in Boerne, Texas, this spot is a hidden gem! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating—especially when I had questions about what I could safely eat with dietary restrictions.

Pro tip: it’s not on the menu, but you can order their Lo Mein with egg noodles to make it gluten-free (the egg noodles are thinner but still super tasty!). Their fried spring rolls are also gluten-free—which was such a treat since it’s hard to find fried options that are safe. I didn’t realize how much I missed fried food until I had them!

When ordering the dinner special, they were able to substitute the spring rolls in place of the usual egg roll and crab rangoon to make it gluten-free. Also, they’ll let you do a half-and-half plate of pretty much any house specials—not just the ones listed on the menu, which is perfect if you want to try a couple different things.

They do not serve alcohol, but it’s BYOB, which is a great bonus if you want to bring your own wine or drinks.

My husband and I were in town visiting family, and we were looking for a hot meal after a cool, windy day out in the sun: we are so happy we found this cozy, warm Family restaurant, and met Alan, the owner, who treated us royally and served us the bbq pork rice noodle soup, which is excellent! I believe this is authentic Chinese cuisine, with delicious broth, tender al dente steamed vegetables, mushrooms, everything was perfect. The ambience was very casual, and family friendly. Families with younger children, were quietly enjoying the silent film with subtitles: very cool for kids, I would think.
