Longbranch Saloon — Restaurant in Boerne

Ambient atmosphere is fairly loud. There were about 10 people on a Thursday night, music is playing fairly loudly and there are a number of noise sources. Decent selection of bottled beer (only bottle, I believe), but rather pricey---about $4.50 for one Blue Moon. Also, they ONLY accept cash, which I didn't know going in. Smoking is allowed indoors. Bartender was very friendly, although the one there this night didn't actually drink beer so couldn't make recommendations (which may or may not be an issue). We were fine till the owner of a Border Collie decided he didn't want his dog in the bar. This was a very sweet animal who wasn't bothering anybody. This owner grabbed her up, made her cry. He doesn't deserve to have such a sweet and friendly dog. If it was my bar, I would take the dog and bar the owner from ever returning. We had to leave before I retaliated against the dogs owner. My friends and I came out to Boerne on a Wednesday night looking for activities. We came across the Longbranch Saloon and it was the only place that was open till midnight. It's a real laid-back bar with a small Dance Floor, pool tables, & free shuffleboard. Everyone was friendly. The only downside is, there is a lot of smoke.
