Taqueria Reyna Tapatia — Restaurant in Boerne

I’ve passed this place many times. I never understood the drive thru line as it was always long. People would wait and wait for their order and then drive away happily. Boerne has many Mexican or Tex-Mex places so this one wasn’t on my radar. Finally after not wanting to go to my usual spot I decided to try it and I was not disappointed. I absolutely regret not trying Taqueria Reyna Tapatio sooner.

I ordered the fajitas flamenado and I was blown away. These are not your average beef fajitas. These are fajitas made in a sauce with onions, peppers and spices and it is absolutely delicious! The plate came with awesome Mexican rice and refried beans and two tortillas big enough to split into four and make four tacos. Seriously this place is worth it for cheap eats that pack a perfect punch. Their salsas have a good amount of heat.

You know the old saying never judge a book by it’s covered. Taqueria Reyna is more than it’s cover. Delicious food, big plates, great salsa are a huge part of their story and can’t wait...

There was ample parking. The restaurant was clean. My waitress was prompt and very attentive.

I was brought some chips and salsa. The salsa in the dip bowl was very watery. There were two other bottles of salsa available. One red and one green. The red was very flavorful with a chile de arbol taste. The green had a tomatillo and jalapeño taste.

I had the Carne Guisada Plateau with flour torts. The carne was covered in a savory gravy. Beans and rice were standard issue. The two flour torts that came with the meal were hand-made and a bit thick. Overall, it was...

If this is the one in boerne, then this place is a definitely a place if you want a home cooked meal made with love and care that welcomes you in and that is just based by my experience when my first dad my dad's brought me here was a good day I never even saw now I see how much I'd actually enjoyed that moment so I stop by just the other day and I had a plate to go and my god it was so good and actually had enough to eat later that night from one plate alone so i would highly recommend if this place is located some where in Boerne I do plan on having dinner inside and sitting down to eat that would be home sweet home Mexico...
