Texas native here - from the Rio Grande Valley. I came here with my girlfriend to try the “Best Street Tacos” and we were extremely disappointed with the flavor, service, and especially the prices.
It truly makes me sad to read so many positive reviews from people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE these are “good”.
The Al Pastor tacos aren’t even real Al Pastor from “Trompo” and don’t have pineapple either (if you know you know).
Their tortillas taste like cheap Walmart tortillas and feel like sandpaper in your mouth.
Their rice and beans are a joke…
Here’s the worst part of it all: Their prices are literally THE MOST EXPENSIVE I HAVE EVER PAID FOR TACOS IN MY LIFE!
I have traveled across the U.S. and I have NEVER paid anything close to $40.00 for 10 tacos with nasty rice and beans!
It is disrespectful and abusive if this establishment to take advantage of people like this.
Back home in Texas, $40.00 would pay for an entire family’s tacos WITH DRINKS!
Screw this place! Pinche...

Coming from LA, we've been on the hunt for tacos like we used to enjoy in Eagle Rock and East LA.
El Chavo hit all the right notes and brought us back to the streets of LA!
Meat - al pastor was full of flavor and not overly greasy; carne asada was seasoned well; carnitas was good but I only had one and wish I ordered two more; adobada was also tasty but same as carnitas.
Will need to order more tacos next time.
And the sauces are El Fuego... 🔥🔥
Two green and one red. We didn't think the sauces were going to be hot enough. Wrong.
We saved the leftover sauce for tomorrow's breakfast!
We bought three combos (two x 5 tacos and one burrito combo) which came with rice, beans, grilled jalapeno and cans of soda. Total came to $42 which was just over $10/person for our party of four.
While the beans and rice were good, will likely skip and just get more tacos next time.

Once we just decided to get the special since it was written out with a price included we went to wait at our car and the food was done in no time. The tacos were great. The rice was flavorless & the beans had that spoiled flavor to them as if old beans had been added to a fresh batch. Overall there was nothing to bring me back to this particular spot unless I happened to...
