Texas native here - from the Rio Grande Valley. I came here with my girlfriend to try the “Best Street Tacos” and we were extremely disappointed with the flavor, service, and especially the prices.

It truly makes me sad to read so many positive reviews from people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE these are “good”.

The Al Pastor tacos aren’t even real Al Pastor from “Trompo” and don’t have pineapple either (if you know you know).

Their tortillas taste like cheap Walmart tortillas and feel like sandpaper in your mouth.

Their rice and beans are a joke…

Here’s the worst part of it all: Their prices are literally THE MOST EXPENSIVE I HAVE EVER PAID FOR TACOS IN MY LIFE!

I have traveled across the U.S. and I have NEVER paid anything close to $40.00 for 10 tacos with nasty rice and beans!

It is disrespectful and abusive if this establishment to take advantage of people like this.

Back home in Texas, $40.00 would pay for an entire family’s tacos WITH DRINKS!

Screw this place! Pinche...

Legit legit street tacos in Boise!

Coming from LA, we've been on the hunt for tacos like we used to enjoy in Eagle Rock and East LA.

El Chavo hit all the right notes and brought us back to the streets of LA!

Meat - al pastor was full of flavor and not overly greasy; carne asada was seasoned well; carnitas was good but I only had one and wish I ordered two more; adobada was also tasty but same as carnitas.

Will need to order more tacos next time.

And the sauces are El Fuego... 🔥🔥

Two green and one red. We didn't think the sauces were going to be hot enough. Wrong.

We saved the leftover sauce for tomorrow's breakfast!

We bought three combos (two x 5 tacos and one burrito combo) which came with rice, beans, grilled jalapeno and cans of soda. Total came to $42 which was just over $10/person for our party of four.

While the beans and rice were good, will likely skip and just get more tacos next time.

This is a taco truck. Not what we were expecting but we're cool with it so once we figured the parking situation, which was a bit awkward, we began to view the truck side menu which was another hurdle. I'm fluent in Spanish so language barrier was not an issue. The menu is impossible to get an idea what they have since it's a standard, write in price, menu template. Once we just decided to get the special since it was written out with a price included we went to wait at our car and the food was done in no time. The tacos were great. The rice was flavorless & the beans had that spoiled flavor to them as if old beans had been added to a fresh batch. Overall there was nothing to bring me back to this particular spot unless I happened to...

Four tables are seated under a shade tree. They are not always in the shade, but mid-day only one was in the sun. The food is fresh. We each had three tacos. That was a mistake. We should have ordered two as they pack the heck out of those tacos. They serve them with a full set of green and red salsa and grilled, white onions. The chicken and asada (steak) are the most tender we have had anywhere. The adobada was delicious and not greesy. The cabeza (cheek) was a balance of fatty and lean and mild flavor, so I did use the spicier green salsa on it. The only thing I would say could be an improvement is some char edges would be nice. We paid twenty, even, for six overflowing tacos.
