Nestled in the heart of the Gem Center for the Arts building is a cozy little art space called the TVAA Gallery. (If you’re familiar with the Gem Center for the Arts, it houses other creative ventures including the Lounge at the End of the Universe as well as working artists’ studios!) The TVAA Gallery is hosted by the Treasure Valley Artists Alliance (TVAA). They are an art collective run by a group of philanthropic souls who want to create opportunities for local artists and get more art into the community.
My first introduction to the charming TVAA Gallery was during an art show called “Fifty Shades of Brown.” I submitted to a Call for Art, and they included a couple of my figurative fantasy pieces for the show! It is nice to have a place to display my kitschy, big eye style. Since TVAA is a collective, they include a diverse range of art styles as long as they fit the theme! There are not a lot of galleries in Idaho that are open to my Morbidly Adorable sensibilities.
Whether you are an artist, just love art, or both, make sure to check out the TVAA Gallery and their Calls for Art put out by the Treasure Valley Artists Alliance. Don’t sleep on this gallery! You might just discover your next favorite...
