Second Review! Back Again! Absolutely fantastic time, and this visit surprised my mother by bringing her! She and my girlfriend loved everything, girlfriend’s favorite is the Cranberry Pecan Scone with Devonshire Cream, and mom’s favorite was the Cucumber Sandwich. My favorite was the roasted pumpkin soup! The soup was creamy and reminded me of a seasonal corn tortilla soup, instead of corn you have pomegranate seeds and pumpkin seeds! On a brisk day like today the pumpkin was perfect. The cranberry autumn tea was the favorite that we had this time! The service is friendly, professional and kind! This is truly a wonderful unique experience in Midlothian, and I highly recommend you plan your next visit. This time I didn’t need to put down a deposit for a table as well.
Original Review: First time coming and made a reservation online which required a $20 deposit which is applied to the bill upon check out. The atmosphere was whimsical and really helped set the mood. The food was immaculate and the attention to detail in each bite is really well crafted. The hostess Farrell was very polite, friendly and professional. The chef and owner is the one who brought out our food but even explained everything going on with each bite size morsel. My one request was decaf tea which we had Berry Compote & Golden Berry tea. Both tea options complimented the food which was summer inspired very nicely! It was a lovely lunch, and we are excited to return at a later date. Our favorites of the course was the Macadamia Nut Scone with Devonshire Cream and Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding bite! The hard part is you want to eat way more than just a bite! You can tell the staff, employees, and customers really care about the establishment and what it offers to the community. Tax and a 20% gratuity are automatically added to the bill. For two adults it came out to $55.60. A wonderful gem of...
Read moreSouthern Serenity afternoon tea was amazing!!!
we started off with a vanilla scone w/ devonshire cream and cherry jam. the scone was absolutely lovely! inside was nice and fluffy and crunchy sweet outside. our unlimited tea was peach flavored and yummy af!
next was a lemon chicken soup with rice and veggies. the lemon left a light, refreshing after taste.
lastly, we enjoyed a tower of various finger foods. the bottom tier was made up of tea sandwiches and stuffed sweet pepper w/ cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning. i'd have to say the best sandwich was the turkey, apple, and cheddar. the other 2 sandwiches were heriloom tomato and pesto, and cucumber. it was nice to know that the tomatoes came from the owner's garden.
the middle tier held fruit, cheese, and a perfectly made shortbread cookie. top tier was filled with more deserts, including this creme puff filled with lemon curd and cherry, a tea cake, chocolate filled with caramel, and neapolitan candies.
needless to say, i will definitely be back. the fact that they have been open only since 7/1 is astounding. i can't wait to try everything on the menu and experience more...
Read moreWhat a great experience to be shared with Girlfriends, Children. This is a cozy elegant space. The service is excellent! Customer Service top notch which is what gets a win from me.
I enjoyed the entire "Tea Time" experience.
We had a Caramel Tea & Black Walnut Cranberry Tea. I enjoyed the Caramel most. I didn't even add Sugar (that's a surprise for me because I have a sweet tooth) it has good flavor.
Honorable mention was the Scones with Homemade Cream and Apricot Marmalade (all homemade). It was absolutely delicious. So much so I purchased the Whipped Cream. Will go well with Drinks and Pies.
I also enjoyed the green cookie dessert (name of cookie is escaping me). The Tomatoe Pumkin Soup was also a hit with the entire Table (and I don't like Pumpkin & one of us don't like Tomato's. This explains how flavorful it was.
The Chef came out to explain the Desserts. All made based on the celebration of the season.
I highly recommend this establishment. The Price is right.
I will say don't go there hungry because it's not a...
