Update: we dined in on Friday night. Ordered a crispy chicken salad, cream of bell pepper soup, a whole wheat pizza, and pasta with broccoli with garlic. The crispy chicken was just ok. We got pasta fagioli instead of the cream of bell pepper soup. The worst was the whole wheat pizza. A week prior the dough was moist and looked like it was handmade because it was thicker and thinner in different parts and bubbled up on the crust. This one was inedible. The same thickness and shape all the way around. Tasted horrible and the cheese was so oily. Definitely pre-formed. When asked, we were told that it was the same dough they always use. We disagree because it tasted like 2 other whole wheat pizzas in the area that are absolutely disgusting. Thankfully, it was taken off our bill.
We've been here a number of times because the food is good. When we walk in the guys at the counter are always friendly and welcoming. Today we dined in. Only one other table occupied. We ordered 2 salads and 2 whole wheat pizzas. Disappointed that the salads and pizzas arrived at the same time. Usually this place serves the salads before the main meal. One pizza was correct, the other was not. We got a white dough pizza instead of whole wheat. The exact same thing happened the time before this when we dined in also. Not sure where the breakdown is happening. Is the server entering the order wrong? Is the pizza maker not reading the order correctly? We had to get up and go to the counter to make someone aware of the error because our server was in the back of the restaurant eating (not sure of her name, but she's not friendly). No one came to check on us while we were eating; just dropped the food off and walked away. They offered to give us the incorrect pizza which we dropped off to a friend. Also, we were charged for 2 fountain drinks when we only ordered 1 Pepsi. On a side note, I love the crispy chicken garden salad, but the chicken tenders have been horrible lately. Still the best whole wheat pizza in the...
Read moreMy husband and I dined at this establishment last month. When we first walked in, the customers looked at us as if we didn't belong here. It's 2024; I know they have seen men and women of color before. But, we decided to eat in anyway. The owner or the manager took our order. He was very nice. We had a nice conversation about new york and the pizza because that's where I was born and raised and my husband works in new york. He knew a little something about new york too. It was just a very nice conversation. He made us feel like we were at home. We ordered pizza and wings and they were delicious. The staff at the counter were friendly as well. So, my husband and I decided to order a couple of weeks later for takeout. My husband picked up the food and again there were customer there giving him the same look as what are you doing here. We received the same looks from customers at the cleaners next door to them. We use to live in bordentown for years and never experienced this before. Unfortunately, we don't feel comfortable to dine at this restaurant again. This has nothing to do with the restaurant. It's due to some of the customers we came across, that's all. It's definitely not FEAR, just lack of trust and uncomfortableness. If they deliver thru grubhub or doordash, we will just...
Read moreVery nice people here! I came in one day right after I broke my wrist and I had just picked up my prescriptions at the pharmacy that is in the shopping center with it. So I stopped for some Pasta Fasoli soup to coat my stomach before I took all the scripts. The soup was fantastic! I ate every single drop even though I was in pain! And what was really nice was they offer to carry it out to my car for me as I was struggling so much because it was my primary wrist that I broke. They have an extensive Italian menu and from what I remember the atmosphere was warm and cozy. A place you can sit down with your BYOB and kick back and relax for a while. Why not? All we do is run, run, run! Since writing this review I have had many more delicious lunch and dinner items from their menu as I live very close to this place and I don't cook! One of my favorites is the Tortellini Alfredo, absolutely fabulous! Delicious! One of my fast lunch meals is a cheese steak on a toasted roll which is always perfect! Whether I walk in to pick up my food or have it delivered they greet me by name and I don't eat there that often that anyone should remember my name so that always impresses me. If you haven't been there you should definitely try it! You won't be...
