Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Bossier City

After a long hiatus from visiting the Dairy Queen in Bossier City, I recently returned and was quickly reminded why I stopped coming. The experience was disappointing, primarily due to the staff's attitude and poor service. The employees at this location seem to have cultivated a culture of rudeness that detracts significantly from the customer experience. I placed an order through the Dairy Queen app, expecting a quick and convenient pickup at the drive-thru. However, upon arriving, the staff refused to hand me my order through the drive-thru window, which is a mere 7 feet from the counter. Instead, I was instructed to park and come inside to retrieve it. This seemed unnecessarily inconvenient, as it would have taken the employee just a few steps to bring the order to the window. The lack of willingness to accommodate a simple request left me frustrated. In contrast, nearby establishments like Whataburger and Sonic maintain a more customer-friendly atmosphere, where such a dismissive attitude isn’t tolerated. This experience at Dairy Queen in Bossier City was a stark reminder of why I’ve avoided this location in the past, and I’m hesitant to return unless significant improvements are made to the staff’s approach to customer service. This place opened late last year, but I just "noticed" it while driving by hungry. Pulled over and had the classic "Steak Finger Basket." Food arrived quickly, hot, and ready to eat. Folks working there were pleasant and helpful. Went back the following Tuesday for "Taco Tuesday" (email coupon opportunity). Simple 3 tacos in a box with a drink, dollar off regular price. Don't know why, but I simply love them. Meat, lettuce, cheese, and diced fresh tomato on a very crisp, thin, and no hint of staleness shell!

Give 'em a try... Best DQ I've been in for decades. And love the new format! Outside dining/hanging out. Huge parking lot. Fast drive-through.

PS - I took one star because in their zeal to keep everything clean (and the place was immaculate for the most part, they have been failing to get all the mop water soap off the floor which means that the floors are "slicker than snot" anywhere they get wet. Ordered a 6 PC chicken strip with onion rings + a the same in the Buffalo sauced style. When the order finally came out, there were 2 orders plain with fries with only 4 pcs. They combined enough of the straps for one basket and left one person with no food. One of us was almost finished eating when the other order came out. The Buffalo strips had sauce drizzled over them. Not at all like the picture. Why not just off the Buffalo sauce as a dipping option?!? They also said t they didn't have ranch dressing because they made it inhouse? The drink dispenser corner had a spill with a wet floor sign over it during the entire visit. That corner also had a sour, murky smell as if the mop water hadn't been changed in a while. The restroom smelled the same way. Additionally, one toilet appeared to be clogged, and the tissue rolls were laying on the back of the toilet and not on the dispenser.
