Fort Hill Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Boston

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. I’m extremely disappointed and annoyed. This was my first time trying them and I was very excited but unfortunately I will never be going back. First of all I tried to order over the phone and no one answered, that should’ve been my first sign but instead I still chose to drive over there and order in person. After placing my order of chicken tenders and a fish sandwich with fries, I was told the wait would be 30 minutes, I said it was fine but that should’ve been my second sign. I go to pick up my order and the chicken had no sauce(I guess she put the order in wrong) I wait for the sauce and she gives me a tiny container at first to cover a whole plate of chicken. I asked for more sauce and watched as she poured the sauce straight out the jar into the container so the sauce wasn’t hot or even warmed. Then I get home to see the chicken is still pink on the inside, it smells like they cooked it in the same grease as the fish, and there’s one random wing on my plate of tenders. On top of that, my fish sandwich plate came with fried yuca instead of FRIES LIKE THE MENU STATED. I’m BEYOND ANNOYED especially since I spent over $30, of which the cashier somehow almost forgot to give me my $8 change (I had to remind her TWICE for my change). I really wanted to support and like this restaurant but after today I absolutely will not be...

Soooo… I never leave a review. However, today is a new day. First off buyer beware… they charge an automatic 18% gratuity. Regardless, of the party size (there was only one person and myself). The automatic gratuity wasn’t mentioned ANYWHERE. Outside the door or in the bathroom, which they stated it was. It wasn’t on the website either, when we spoke to the daughter’s owner she stated her mom has been doing that for over 21 years. Idk where she was doing this but, it definitely wasn’t at Fort Hill. After speaking with the daughter’s owner, she did remove the auto-gratuity, which we appreciated.

Secondly, our waitress was so sweet. However, she spoke very minimal English. There were two older woman who shared the restaurant with us as well and one of the woman canceled her entire order due to the hard language barrier and she was only ordering chicken.

The food was good. The chicken was very well seasoned but, it was VERY dark, not burnt, but it definitely hinted at the fact that it was cooked in old grease. Just a kindly heads up don’t sit down, take...

We had an incredible time celebrating Dominyck’s graduation party at Fort Hill Bar & Grill in Boston! The venue was the perfect mix of fun, vibrant energy and welcoming charm—an ideal setting to mark such a proud and exciting milestone.
