Extremely Disappointed After Years of Loyalty
After more than 10 years of being a loyal customer at Mi Pueblito in East Boston (Orient Heights), today was the last time I will ever step foot in that restaurant. I’ve always appreciated Mi Pueblito as a family-oriented place—somewhere you could go with loved ones, enjoy a good meal, and relax to some great music. Unfortunately, it’s clear that the atmosphere and attitude have completely changed.
I visited today with my daughter, expecting the same welcoming environment we’ve always known. While waiting for our food, I played a song to enjoy the moment and create a nice vibe like I’ve done many times in the past. Shockingly, a staff member walked over, turned it off without a single word, and gave us a look that was clearly annoyed and unprofessional. No explanation. No courtesy. Just blatant disrespect.
What makes this even worse is that at the same time, a loud game was playing on the TV and other customers were making a ton of noise—which apparently was just fine with the staff. So why was it only an issue when we tried to enjoy our time with some music?
The double standard and disrespect were infuriating. This is not the Mi Pueblito I supported for over a decade. The environment felt cold, unwelcoming, and frankly, rude.
I’m beyond disappointed and will not be returning. I hope the management takes a serious look at how their staff treats loyal customers—because this experience was...
Read moreehh, i wish the food was better as good as we thought it would be. from the pictures online it looks pretty decent. i ordered 3 taco dorados and they were really hard after three bites the crunch was too much. the chicken was marinated and seasoned well. i wasn’t a fan of the american cheese inside of it. my partner got the steak and shrimp fajitas. he said it was “okay”. it was seasoned and a basic fajita. we also ordered a side of broccoli which was seasoned well and steamed with a tiny crunch. the plaintains weren’t under or over ripe. it was just right. the fries weee also crunchy but a light crunch which was perfect. we also ordered alcoholic pina coolatas which i was really excited about and it came out as virgin coolatas. i didn’t finish mine because it just wasn’t what i was expecting. some of the employees were really kind and sweet. there was one who was a bit stale and made me feel like we were asking for too much. our bill came out to $68.00. this location is in a nice spot. street parking can be a little tricky but it’s a quick walk and there’s a park right next to it. overall i don’t think we’ll be visiting again. especially if we’re looking for gourmet food. this unfortunately wasn’t it for me. if you’re starving and have limited options. this spot will...
Read moreStaying overnight near Logan for a very early flight, and we were looking for a place to eat. I am super picky. I look for gluten and dairy free, but my husband has no restrictions. This can make it tricky.
It took some work, but we are very glad we ventured out to Mi Pueblito Orient Heights. I selected the seafood soup. It was delicious. My husband had the steak and shrimp.
We both had margaritas. I had the spicy margarita. My husband went with the frozen mango. Again, both were great.
The restaurant is on a corner lot with street parking. I saw outside seating, but it didn’t look like there was much of a view.
The inside made great use of the space. The atmosphere was casual, comfortable, and clean.
Service was wonderful. Plus they still offer mints at the end of your meal! We will...
