Today, I ordered from this location. Full disclosure, I'm currently a veteran inpatient at the VA Hospital. I heard good things about this place foodwise.
I used Square Up since it said it was preferred by the business. I will never again use this service.
My delivery driver, Humberto, did not follow directions. He texted me and stated he was at reception. A picture is worth a thousand words. This clearly was not delivered to the main reception area. My food was left somewhere in the hospital.
Now. I did contact the restaurant, and they stated they would refund me. I'll have to wait and see. Apparently, it can take a minimum of 7 business days.
The restaurant and I are the victims.
In the future, I will go in person or use Grubhub or a more customer friendly service. Do not use Square Up.
If the food is located, I will update this review.
UPDATE:
FOOD LOCATED!
First things first. Contacted restaurant to let them know food located. They were very gracious.
Secondly, the food was lukewarm at this point. I was still hungry, so I tried it. Oh. My. Goodness. The Carnitas Tostados were Bomb! Loaded with tender pork and fresh fixings. I also added jalapeños and pickled onions. I also ordered a Chicken Plate. That was fire, too! The chicken is expertly grilled and flavorful, Pico, guacamole, refried bean, just bursting with flavor.
I repeat. This food was LUKEWARM but still tasty! I will definitely try them in the near future in person and, if delivery, will use a more well-known...
Read moreI have been going to Yucatán Tacos since I moved to West Roxbury 2 years ago. It’s my go-to Mexican food restaurant. I eat there sometimes and bring friends. It’s cheap eats but it’s good. I don’t eat fast food (lifelong vegetarian) and this is fast… but it’s not fast food and it’s not greasy. They value vegetables like I do. The soft shell tacos come with tender (not overdone) pieces of zucchini, yellow squash, onion, and carrot (as well as pico).
Today I had a great experience at Yucatán Tacos! I wanted to bring home my food and eat it later so I asked them to pack up the soft shell tacos separately. I paid and left a $5 tip (on a $14 order) and was asked if I needed change in case I didn’t want to leave a whole $5 bill… but I actually wanted to leave a $5 tip and told the man I love this restaurant so here’s my contribution. I am very appreciative because instead of the 3 soft shell tacos I’d asked for, the man gave me 6! I have enough of everything for 2 meals! The veggies were great as usual, the black beans I believe are cooked from fresh, not canned (yum), the pico and salsa are good, crisp shredded lettuce, guacamole that tastes right, and shredded cheese. I got the works today with the extra beans and condiments. Each condiment was in its own little container. The tacos shells were warm, wrapped in tinfoil. Great service, great food....
Read moreThis small unassuming mexican place more than delivers. The food is authentic, delicious and affordable so basically all you need. Definitely go in to order as their full menu isn’t online and you wouldn’t want to miss out on a tamale! It’s mostly a takeout joint but they have 10 tables or so if you want to eat in.
Whatever you get don’t skip the chips and salsa, the chips are homemade and the salsa is the best. I could have a whole bowl of it as a soup! If you get a burrito make sure to ask to have it toasted, it adds a whole new other layer of flavor that can’t be beat!
Talked to the guy behind the counter today and they’re starting breakfast on the weekends so you know I’m going to go back to check that out.
Long story short, this place is the real deal...
