Literally the worst McDonald's ever. Dirty. Bugs flying around. Gross! And if you do go here, check your food. EVERY time. They literally can't make a plain cheeseburger... And that's not an exaggeration, that's all my kids want every single time and it's never without issue. Onions, ketchup, cheese, lettuce, missing a freaking patty... Something EVERY time. Buns are always stale. No sauce with nuggets even when they actually ask you which flavor you want. And no, you won't get ketchup or salt with your food either, and it's not even out in the dining room anywhere. You need to ask. And if you ask for 7 ketchups because you got 6 different large fries and 12 burgers and they still short ya and only toss in 2 or 3. I personally refuse to eat here, only go for my kids on rare occasions and I cringe every time. 95% of the staff have the personality of a rock. No hello, no sorry, no thank you. Workers will poke their heads out from behind the wall and see you standing there and completely ignore you, even walk by you. One of the managers (if not THE manager) is even worse. About 6 months ago I watched him berate an old man who didn't know how to use the self serve kiosks. Telling the 80+ year old man who says "I don't know how, please just take my order" to "try it and humor us, we don't take orders at the counter". Have you seen the video of the McDonald's worker drying a mop head under the fry lights? Well it didn't happen here, but it's the kind of place I wouldn't be surprised if it did. At all! And I've tried resolving matters nicely and quietly contacting the owners "The McBees" as requested on their door. It's always crickets. No response. No change to food or management. Look at their last edit to this page; it's 2024 and they still discuss "working with Covid protocols for dining in restrictions". They don't care. Occasionally you'll get a free breakfast sandwich coupon in the mail. Great, food I don't want. I can't say it enough, STAY AWAY. The only way a place like this changes is when customers stop going. I could write a novel. Honestly can't believe the board of health doesn't shut them down, but hey, it's Bourne, connections are everything here. Look at the other reviews. Only the good reviews "happen" to know all the employees names. I live 5 minutes down the road and have 4 kids in the local school system; and I don't know a single employee there. Those are all BS reviews by employees and their family to offset their negative ones. I'm not the only one and I don't write negative reviews EVER but this has become...
Read moreI ordered the 40 nugget 2 large fry shareable meal. I placed my order on the app and gave my code at the speaker at 5:33. I waited at the second window for about 3 to 4 minutes before an employee approached and asked me to pull forward to the spot labeled 1 to wait for my food. At about 5:48 a female employee who later identified herself as the manager finally approached with my food. Before she walked away I told her that I was missing 1 large fry. She asked if I had my receipt and I told her that I did not because it was a mobile order. She walked away and went inside and printed out my order receipt and returned to my vehicle INSISTING that I only ordered 1 large fry, instead of two and walked away. I then had to remove my two young children from my vehicle parked just in front of all the drive through traffic where I was instructed to park (absolutely not safe) and go inside to resolve the issue. When I got inside I asked to speak to the manager. The same woman approached me again insisting that I did not order 2 large fries and walked away when I offered to show her the order summary on my mobile device. (Initially I did not recognize the time stamp on the receipt that she showed me because I did not realize that I had been waiting for my order that long.) She returns. After getting upset and going back and forth with this woman she finally grabs a large box and fills it less than half way throws it in the bag and places it on top of the mobile order pick up counter and walks away. I call after her and ask her if this was my food and she ignores me and walks out of sight screaming what I can assume is profanities in a foreign language. I open the bag to verify that this is my missing food. I made eye contact with several employees standing by and verbally asked them to properly fill up the fry carton, they all ignore me. The “manager” appears again walks to the fry station and fills up another carton throws it in another bag and puts it on the mobile order counter and walks away, again. I collect my food and leave. This whole interaction was hostile and completely unnecessary. This manager was unable to read the line item and initially refused to give me my food or view my receipt on my mobile device. This needs to...
Read moreLet me just preface this review by saying I know what it's like working for a company that's short-staffed. I know the stress.
I came in a Friday evening and there was probably five, maybe six people tops working in the kitchen. I place my order at the kiosk. The receipt doesn't print out, but I remember my order number.
20 minutes or so go by and I'm seeing customers who ordered after me get their food. Asked the staff twice what was going on, they didn't really say anything other than just walk away. I lost my patience and asked for a refund.
"You're going to have to wait," the manager told me, sounding irritated. "Or if you want you can come back tomorrow when there's more people."
A few more minutes go by. "It's going to be about 20 minutes." He repeats the fact that I can request a refund tomorrow.
Fortunately I didn't have to wait 20 minutes, he finally went to the register about 5 minutes later. But in the meantime the manager is kind of going on this tangent to me about how short-staffed the restaurant is, and that I shouldn't be ordering here if I can't wait. He's also telling me, "I don't have time to be giving people refunds," even though he refunded me anyway.
Again, I understand the stress of being short-staffed, but I really don't think it was proper for the manager to sort of push his load off on me. It should just be give the refund, then move on to the...
