2nd visit: Tried something new this trip.. the Cevapi which are sausages on a toasted pita bread with a side of sour cream and onions. Tasted like a deconstructed Gyro. Sausages were delicious but I did find myself longing for the Gulas again.. First visit: Finally decided to give this little place a try. Had the Gulas and it was delicious but the surprise treat was how great the fresh baked bread was, especially when dunked into the stew. Service was quick and friendly. After my meal I bought a lemon drink that I had not seen since a trip to Europe a few years back. Give this place a try!

Behar Cafe is a Bosnian (Balkan) restaurant. To those unfamiliar with that type of food, if you like Mediterranean food, chances are you’ll love the food there. Most Bosnian dishes are meat and pastry based. There’s also familiar European foods that are also used there like Gulasch and Cabbage dishes. What’s also great about this place is that they have their own store attached with all kinds of different groceries from the former Yugoslavia countries. A true rare gem, especially to someone where it’s hard to find. Some staples to try are the Cevapi and Burek. Enjoy!

Delightful, super clean, & yummy! Family owned cafe with pantry items, freezer meats, snacks, and much more! We had the Bosanski Lonac with bread (pictured) in the cafe seating. The bread was moist triangles of fluffy goodness. The stew fresh, & seasoned to perfection with tender chunks of meat. Pick your own drink. **Estheticians suggest mineral water, it’s great for rehydrating your skin! **#medinamassageandskincare. What a gem of a spot this BEHAR CAFE! If your in the area stop in! Portions are huge & place is spotless! #supportlocal
