I went here with my friend and when we first walked in, everything was nice the people were friendly and then we ended up waiting for our order to be taken, which wasn’t a problem, we let the time pass by talking, but then about 10 minutes later this guy came out, completely rude. He had a problems with giving us 10 wings that were BBQ and 10 wings that where hot, we also asked for 2 sides of ranch and he had a problem with that as well... after that he treated us like we couldn’t afford the place and like we weren’t smart enough to work the credit card machine. He even charged me .50 cent extra for using my card, then making me sign my receipt. Then another women walks in.. who was white, and he is friendly, he takes her order and she uses a card. He doesn’t charge her extra and then goes on to explain that she doesn’t have to sign her receipt because she used a debit card.... well so did I. I liked the place and the food was ok. But the service was disgusting and I was highly offended by the way he acted towards us. When we finally got our food I thanked the cook for being friendly because the cook actually wasn’t the problem. And the guy made a comment saying “ oh wow you want his number” I just walked out. I was really pissed off at that point. This was the first time I had ever experienced racism directly and I was quite embarrassed. I never would have expected this when I...
Read moreSouth Side 6 has amazing Lebanese food. Their gyros and falafel are excellent and I highly recommend them, especially as a meal with rice and baklava. You have a choice between lamb, chicken, and beef for the gyros, which is very nice. Fair warning: portions are large and you get what you pay for. Their rice is wonderful and somewhat spicy with vegetables. Delicious!
Food allergies are accommodated very well and I've never had a reaction from cross contamination of fish or nuts. Just ask for rice instead of fries if you're allergic to seafood and no baklava if allergic to nuts.
The store also sells pita chips, pita bread, hummus, garlic sauce, dolmas, and many other tasty treats for purchase separate from meals.
In terms of customer service they are top notch. Any mistakes on orders are fixed without a hassle. Employees are hygienic, kind, and you can see the effort they put into making ordering food at South Side 6 a positive experience.
Recommend calling in an order ahead of time as wait times can be long for walk-ins.
Highly recommended for take away as there are only picnic tables out front to eat at. If you're in Bowling Green you need to eat here...
Read moreGot a large greek salad last week to share with my wife for lunch. $21 plus tip. It was quite good. Came with dressing, pita slices and cucumber dressing as well as greek. They were mildly aggressive trying to sell me a separate bottle of their greek dressing, but everything was good. Fast forward to today. Not offering to buy a bottle when it was suggested to me, led to the guy behind the counter leading me over to the cooler, taking out a bottle and trying to hand it to me, finally holding it in front of my face and shaking it up. Over the top and too aggressive. Same salad was $23 today. No pita slices either, and most offensive, only got only a half inch of greek dressing for both of us ( wish I could post a pic. It was pitiful) and only gave us 1 container of the cucumber dressing instead of 2 like last week. Disappointed in todays experience. Not sure how I feel about going back. Honestly, I read some of the reviews on the dressing and I agree it's a little too tart for me. It's fine on a salad every once on awhile, but I don't need or want a whole bottle...
