Seriously, just really poor time management and no attention to order. Please understand that this was my very first time ever being at a Hibachi restaurant and it was supposed to be a joyous dinner to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. We had reservations for hibachi at 6pm. Got there at 5:45. Seated at 6:50 (1). Then had to move tables. After waiting for so long..the table we moved from so they could sit another family there, got their orders taken before us (2). Then we had another family join us at the table we were sitting at around 710. Lo and behold…they got their orders taken before us as well (3). My daughter immediately got up to go say something. And she asked that wet be served first as we have been waiting longer and we were sitting waiting long before the other family joined us. At this point we were all upset and truly ready to leave, but it was a restaurant where my daughter had her heart set on going for her graduation dinner…hence the reservation. My daughter’s friend said something. My daughter had to say something. And eventually, I had to say something. It got to the point where my oldest child went across the parking lot to McDonalds to get fries to help curb our hunger. We finally got our drink order. Next thing you know, the family that had just sat with us after we had been waiting for quite a while, had their order started by the chef!! My other daughter went and said something right away to which my graduate, who had already cried twice, was just sooo upset!! By this time, I walked out to get a breather as I was too livid but was trying to keep calm for my kids. We eventually got served, but my 15 year old never received her order until we had to ask for it numerous times. She then received her order just before we were ready to go. This entire experience was horrible and that’s putting it nicely. I understand being understaffed. I even understand missing the mark on the amount of patrons expected for a graduation…but if you’re going to have reservations and take in walk in patrons, know your order. Do not serve those that walk in before you serve the reservation who’s been waiting over an hour. That was rude as hell!! And I promise you, that first experience...
Read moreSo, if you want the owners kids running around the restaurant and them over charging for very low grade sushi, than this is your place. It's really bold that they are literally just taking your money and rushing you through the ordering process, I was sick for 3 days after ordering a roll. The children riding a hover board through the walk in area was unbelievable, the kids were jumping off the wall right beside my head🙄 I don't pay a babysitter to go have dinner with my husband for the owners kids to be running, and riding hover boards all around the people walking in to have dinner! I'll never understand why I'd pay $85 for that experience. Never again. This is disrespectful to your paying customers. Oh, and make sure you ask multiple times to get chopsticks, and extra Wasabi, chances are they won't do the extra Wasabi, just a pea size amount. And only one set of chopsticks, my son's were basically having to share the one set! Because we ordered Togo and ate it at a park. I asked them for 3 sets. I used my fingers, and no napkins or soy packets. They put all the Philadelphia rolls in one container, 2 different orders. Like seriously?? Why won't you give people a great sushi experience by at least having the utensils and napkins available. The only reason they get any business at all is because it's the only sushi restaurant here in BG. I'm not ordering there ever again. They raised all their prices, and lowered the grade...
Read moreFirst time going here and most definitely the last time as well. When myself and my friend walked into the door we were greeted by the manager or owner who asked where we would like to sit. Tired after a long day of manual labor at our jobs we kindly replied that anywhere was fine. For some reason he asked again if we would like to sit hibachi or regular, we don’t know what hibachi is and the front tables had people so we said it didn’t matter, so he sat us at one of the grill tables. A few minutes later our waitress kindly and professionally took our orders which were steak teriyaki and chicken teriyaki which were good, but shortly after ordering our food the manager/ owner came back up to us and rudely asked us why we said we wanted to sit at hibachi when we didn’t order anything hibachi, even though we said multiple times anywhere was fine. After this awkward moment that happened in front of several other people we ate our food with him weirdly hovering in the background like 5ft away from us watching. All and all food was good and the waitress was nice but that dude could use...
