Stingray Grill — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Worst experience ever in a restaurant!!! We had an awesome guided tour with Greg of the museum, and decided to get something to eat before finishing seeing the museum. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, sat down at 12:45, ordered 3 burgers and sodas. Sodas were brought right away. At that point our waitress never came back, after about 30 minutes we flagged another waitress down to get refills and she brought them. At 1:45, I went to bar counter and asked the server there to check on our food that it had been 45 minutes since we ordered. Shortly after, another server came to table and said “can I get your order?” I told her we had already ordered, and she asked what we ordered. At this point it was bad being in restaurant for an hour and food order had not been placed. But it got worse when I asked for a manager. A few minutes later John came to our table. He explained that the order was not turned in, but he was the cook and apologized. I asked to have the meal comp’d, he refused and said our food was being cooked right now. I knew this was a lie because he had already told us he was the cook today, so I asked him who was cooking our food. He then said I’m not cooking your food and you can either leave or I will have security escort you out of building. I ordered the featured burger... The Stingray... The restaurant's name sake. It has a patty made from multiple meats, bacon, jam, apple, and condiments... And at nearly $20 a pop, it's got to be good, right? Wrong. Even with all of those ingredients, this was so incredibly flavorless. I tried a companion's chicken fingers. Also flavorless. Not sure the chef knows what a seasoning bottle looks like. But then you come to the ranch, which is so overly done with dill it's a total shock to the pallet. But you make yourself keep eating it because everything else is so dry you just have to have something to moisten it with. So eventually, it becomes tolerable, maybe even borderline tasty. I will give them this... The fries and cherry coke were on point! At this point, you're probably wondering why I gave 4 stars... Well, one I'm a nice person. If you’re visiting the Corvette Museum or just in the area looking for a bite, definitely visit the Stingray Grill. The food and cocktails are innovative and absolutely amazing. The burger was expertly cooked, juicy, and tasted delicious. The blackberry grilled cheese was a combination of ingredients that end up working so well together. If you like sweet potato fries, you’ll be blown away by the ones here. They are so flavorful that you won’t need any dipping sauce. The service is also fantastic.
