On Memorial Day in Bracketville this was about it for food, so we gave it a shot. I couldn’t find an actual menu anywhere on line, so I called in…. I asked the young lady who answered what kind of sides they had and she responded “what are you looking for?” to which I replied. “Please tell me what you have so I can make that decision.” She proceeded to rattle them off so fast that I couldn’t hear them all. It started with fried tomatoes so she had me. I drove over to read the menu in person and got another person equally as inept. I ordered marbled brisket….got lean. A half rack of ribs….not seasoned, but had some burnt sauce on them and 12 oz. sides of coleslaw and potato salad which may have contained 8oz. each to feed 3. I was given 1 set of utensils to share and the plastic knife had a hard time cutting the ribs which they didn’t cut apart for me. I understand business owners struggling to find good help, so I gave it a high star rating. It deserves no stars and on this day the staff sucked....

It's very rare that I ever give someplace a five on my first visit. Sometimes the first visit you can get lucky and have great food great service, etc.
If you're ever anywhere within driving distance of Ziggy's, it's an absolute must. Make sure you call a few days in advance and get the ribeye, they only serve it on Fridays pre-ordered.
The flavor of my ribeye was absolutely fantastic. I have never in my life had a steak cooked perfectly to order from one end to the other. Every single bite was cooked exactly the way I wanted it.
The staff is excellent! Wonderful! Awesome! I can't come up with any reason to say anything other than nice things, because they were so nice.

Ziggy's is the Best BBQ in Texas. Whenever we are in town, we make sure to stop in for the best darn BBQ we've ever had (better than any of those BBQs in Kerrville, better than the original Black's in Bastrop, better than Heavy's, and WAY better than Big Bib). The Best BBQ and really friendly staff and owners who seem to genuinely enjoy what they are doing and are really appreciative when they see folks enjoying their BBQ. Turkey was moist and smokey, the brisket (even the lean cuts) were moist and so tender you could pull it apart with the fork. They have amazing burgers! The sides are delicious (fresh fried okra--OMG). Trust me: ZIGGY'S IS WORTH THE TRIP!!! It's a real blessing to buy...
