My husband and I had lunch at this lovely restaurant, and it was such a pleasant experience. We were greeted around 1 PM by a young man with a gentle smile, which immediately set a warm tone. We were feeling a bit gingerly that day, so we started light—with shepherd’s salads. I asked if the dressing could come on the side, since we prefer less olive oil, and that request was happily accommodated.
The salads were fresh and delicious, served with warm pita bread and a selection of mezze appetizers, which—much to our delight—were on the house! The young man told us this with a warm smile, and it truly made our day.
For our main dishes, I ordered the doner lamb sandwich, and my husband chose the grilled chicken cubes. Both meals were flavorful, well-cooked, and generously portioned—definitely enough food without being overwhelming. As I always say, no one needs to eat for two unless they’re pregnant—haha!
After we finished eating, we asked to pack up the leftovers. Then another kind young man came over with four pieces of fresh baklava. I asked if I could have some Turkish tea, and to my surprise, he brought us two aromatic cups in beautiful tea glasses—completely complimentary. He mentioned the dessert was also on the house. I couldn’t help but think how rare it is these days to encounter such genuine hospitality.
Both of these young men were so gracious and generous. Their customer service was truly outstanding—something that’s becoming harder to find. The food was excellent, and dining outside gave us such a lovely, relaxed vibe. It felt like a mini vacation.
I highly recommend this new spot if you’re looking to try something different and want to feel truly appreciated as a customer. Whether you’re out with your partner or your family, you’re bound to...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Turquaz Mediterranean Restaurant for a dinner date, and we absolutely loved it! The service was excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. It is a BYOB so you can bring your favorite dinner drink. The food was outstanding, especially the lamb & chicken with Bulgar and rice, which was my favorite. The lentil soup was delicious. If you’re a meat lover, this is the perfect place to indulge! And of course, the hummus and pita bread were delicious as well. For dessert the rice pudding was exceptional, unfortunately the pistachio baclava was unavailable but we will definitely have the next time we visit. The prices were very reasonable and overall, the experience...
Read moreI had high hopes for this one, but you can skip this place. Address is misleading, not on Main St in Bradley Beach, but around the corner… no one in restaurant speaks English well or can articulate directions. Food was sub par, pita was stale. Our waiter only spoke Turkish and when I spoke to him in his native language, he was still bewildered. The wait staff has no skill in waiting tables at all. We brought Champagne to be opened, which of course did not require a wine opener, yet three wait staff just keep showing up at our table with a host of wine openers. I diner at another table opened it for us. Total...
