Do not know how to describe the experience other than the most unprofeasional and ultimate disgrace from the behaviour of their hostess.
If you do not want to ruin your weekend, Do NOT go that place!!
Called early morning to ask if they do take reservations and they said no, only first come first serve. We arrived aroung 10:50am and there was nobody waiting around, the hostess took the name and phone number down and asked us to wait.
Few minutes and more parties of 2 and 4, 5 people started showing up and asked us if we were in line and followed the same process. While we were still waiting that hostess started seating all these people that came after with minimal wait time. We were standing all this time infront of her and she kept avoiding eye contact, it was untill it was clear with nobody else waiting I see her walking around in and out and she then came back to her station, that when I recieved a text that I am now on the waiting list after 25 mins waiting already.
Waitied few more min while still standing infornt of her, nobody around, 4 empty tables!! And yet no action from her side. Recieved a text after 10 min that table is ready, while still standing infront of her another party came in and asked for a table and if there was a waiting time and she went ahead and told them they are good and directed them to an empty table.
At this moment it was clear she was doing that on purpose!! I told her we are leaving because that is so unprofessional and she smiled with joy to see us leaving. That was s a very obvious act of discrimination towards a muslim family and she accomplished her goal.
As we are leaving by the door another hostess followed to appologize and said she will get us a table if we like. She went back in and never returned.
We left and went few blocks down to "The Buttered Biscuit" where people are friendly, hospitable, with great and quick service and great breakfast selection.
Shame on her and whome ever hired her to be the face of...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went here today for the first time at the Bradley location and it was absolutely spectacular, happy shimmy dance kind of satisfaction. I got the lox Benedict and she got the veggie omelette , we shared the French toast. For drinks we ordered a cappuccino and i got a graham cracker drink, cappuccino was fresh and hot and my graham cracker drink had a hot and cold option, i choose the iced option since it was 90 degrees outside, both were soooo tasty! I usually don’t love hollandaise, but their twist to the typical sauce was mouth watering. You can tell this entire establishment from atmosphere, to the drinks and menu was very thought out and can be catered towards anyone’s needs. I can’t recommend this place enough. Unfortunately we don’t remember our servers name, but she was so sweet, attentive, and friendly ( bonus points for asking about allergies). I talked about the experience the entire drive home, that’s how good it was. I honestly can’t wait to go back. What an incredible experience, tell all your friends and family about Hatch 44, you won’t be disappointed so you can do a shimmy dance too!!! Picture of our drinks, sorry no food pictures, we got too...
Read moreIt’s very rare I write negative reviews such as the one I'm about to write. My wife and I came in earlier Tuesday Morning, expecting to have a great breakfast in this beautiful well rated restaurant. Unfortunately, we never even got our food, never even got a drink, and was only spoken to once by the host! We walked in, the host looked like he didn’t want to talk to us, kept us waiting standing there for 2 minutes, finally walked up and didn’t even greet us and asked “how many?”, showed us to our table, and walked away. That’s the only interaction we had with the workers. They seemed busy, which I expected since this seems like a popular restaurant in town, but every one I saw was being taken care of, and being asked questions. The host and waitresses walked past our table multiple times. We decided to give them 20 minutes and still got no service whatsoever, and ended up walking out. I’m not sure if it was the color of our skin (my wife and I are both people of color, and the only ones in the restaurant at the time), or how we looked, but we definitely felt discrimination towards us. I’m very upset we didn’t even get the chance to try...
