We stopped in to Ken's Coney, expecting your typical Leo's or Kerby's type experience. Pleasantly surprised, it was much better than that! We had hot burger sandwiches with gravy. Very tasty, nice char on the burger which was served atop one of the most clever ways I've ever seen a slice of bread assembled. What a great signature touch! Pea soup was delicious and so thick you can practically stand your spoon up in it. The nicest surprise was the grilled veggies. Expected canned beans. Received a grilled blend of green beans, thinly sliced carrots, and red peppers. Outstanding! I'm not a veggie person but I would gladly have eaten seconds, or thirds of this yummy blend. Our waitress was amazing as well. Very attentive and patient with a couple of no0bs like us. Overall, a delightful experience and we'll be returning when we are...
Read moreDon’t even bother eating here. I’ve given them so many chances because I’ve been going there for years! But when you get glass in your food and get treated like it’s your fault! 🤬 Owner was told, came out and didn’t even come to our table. The waitress took my meal off our bill but became a snoot and I still tipped her the cost of the original cost. Thought it wasn’t her fault. Gave one last chance on take out today by ordering take out. Big mistake! Never get your order right! Husband went to pick it up and nobody was even there! So yeah, I’m so done with this place. Been going down hill for the last few years. Service and food not good anymore. Owner just seems to sit back and do nothing about it. He can’t be...
Read moreMy wife has been on keto diet for 18 months and lost 60 lbs! She loves to eat breakfast out almost every day. We have learned the places that are keto friendly or not. The Big thing is no potatoes no toast. Ken's has a strict no substitution policy which makes them not keto friendly. Most of the cafes/diners in the area will substitute cottage cheese or grilled sauerkraut for the both the toast and potatoes so she can stay keto. Ken's uncharged us 4.29 for cottage cheese so it takes an omlette and makes it too expensive. Debs coney, dixie diner, green apple and many more cater to keto for those looking. No substitutions is a bad business decision. 4 stars is how I would rate it w/o keto. Great place. Just not...
