One waitress, one cook. Waitress seemed like she had an attitude the whole entire time we were there. After Taking way too long to assist us. Let me explain. I received my food first. Hubby had his delivered to the table 10 minutes or so later. My son waited another 15 minutes for his! Food came out warm and to the point of being cold. The place was not overwhelmingly busy. No excuse! I know that she was by herself and the one cook on board but she had no excuse not to try and be a lot friendlier. At times we caught her just standing around talking to the staff for minutes on end. During one of those occurrences we happen to notice our food just sitting and waiting to be taken off the window and brought over to our table. The Coffee was not even hot. Warm. To the point of almost getting cold. I have to give it to the cook though. He came out and asked us how our food was. I told him the food was good but not hot because it was sitting up on the window too long. Very polite of him I must say. But if you as a cook/chef have enough time to do that then that tells me that this waitress didn't put any effort into her job! The place wasn't busy at all! Worse experience and waitress ever! Update In response to the owner, I already did as you instructed. I haven't heard anything back from you yet. I have been a customer for Denny's for a very long time. This was just a bad unfortunate experience for me and my family. No hard feelings. To the owner, CEO, whoever. I feel that the staff needs to be taken seriously as far as pay goes and trained at its fullest. Without them, you will not be standing today. Especially during this pandemic. Service: Marsha you are Awesome!!! You were very knowledgeable polite professional, calm and patient. Your attire was professional, clean & neat. You rock! You are the reason that I gave five stars in service. Keep up the good work, you were greatly, greatly appreciated.
Environment: While I was being seated . I noticed that the floors were Extremely, Extremely slippery. Having a bad back and bad knees I had to tread EXTRA LIGHT to prevent myself from falling. However, I did bring this to the staff attention. I was told that "when the air condition is off the floors gets slippery." Moreover, needless to say that that is an accident/ lawsuit waiting to happen.
Atmosphere: Loud and Overwhelming to say the least. Tamika, your appearance was neat & clean. I truly appreciate the way that you acknowledged everyone's presence when they entered. However, your volume & conversations could have been more professional. After encountering your presence I did some self awareness, which I hope will bring self-care. I am reminded that everyone do not have to hear what it is that I have to say. Not that I was listening but I couldn't help but hear you.
Food: I did not enjoy the food. Not because of the taste. It was delicious. But because I feared that I would fall on the slippery floor I'm leaving. I apologize for not asking for the cook's name to compliment him/her on how well our food was. Thank you Cook, we really enjoyed it

Read moreAs soon as we walked in, the bad odor was absolutely awful. I don’t understand how they don’t notice how strong the MOLD smells, the whole ceiling has green/black spots from the entrance to the other side of the restaurant. By the cash register there’s a air vent that’s leaking water, no one seems to care if a guest slips and fall, we had to wait about 20 min to be seated because they had nobody to clean the tables/booths, when a female finally cleaned one, we were seated, and it took another 20 min to clean another table. Meanwhile they served me EXACTLY WHAT I DID NOT ORDER, they didn’t have the ingredients to make my dish, so they served me what they had. I understand restaurants sometimes ran out of stuff but come on, there’s other ways to handle those situations. I left very unhappy. When I was checking out the employee asked me “how was everything?” I had to take a deep breath, I said I had some inconvenience with my food, I let her know what happened and she said let me call my manager, when the manager showed up, she introduced her manager to me, the manager told her “YOU DONT SAY WHO I AM SOMETIMES”, like come on, if you have to correct an employee, do it when the guest isn’t there anymore, or if you don’t want to feel ashamed to have that title JUST RESIGN, they honestly don’t know how to handle certain situations, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even as a place to work, the MOLD causes a lot of respiratory issues, for guest and even worse for employees. I will put a complaint for this place to get inspected. Also, make sure employees wear acceptable clothing to serve food, make sure their hair is ok, because “they” look like they woke up and went straight to work, nothing against them personally but accidents happen and hair might fall off on people’s plates.
