Although I appreciate the refund which is warranted and the daytime managers understanding once explained the situation, I still have to leave a review so people will be warned and understand the importance of checking product and temps because not being able to trust the food being fixed or people making it is completely unacceptable. I have been eating the same items/meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, for months like clock work because of my diet/exercise regime, so it's pretty easy to tell when something gives you food poisoning. All I had was two biscuits and sausage gravy for $8 and left $5 tip. In and out, server was nice, but after eating at about 2am, I went bed only to wake up at 6:15 to massive diarrhea. After falling back to sleep not feeling good, I woke up another couple of hours later and immediately threw up 6 times biscuits and white gravy out of my truck like a drunk person, followed my more diarrhea. Thank God it wasnt a work day eventhough my day off still requires me to move around and work off the clock. Feel little better, its 11:25am, can't go to gym, stomach hurts, head tingles, upset stomach, weak/pain feelings in legs. I'm a business owner and it's our responsibility to ensure our guests get the best food without having to worry about when or not our food is safe. Only reason lost a star on service is because the server served me the bad product without making sure it was good quality. As a server it's your job to protect your guest bc you're the last line of defense. Everyone dropped the ball big time. 🤢🤮😫
I guess I can't go to WaffleHouse on Brandon Blvd or IHOP on Bloomingdale Dr. seeing as I left a review on them same night that was bad only 30 minutes prior to and causing me to leave there and head to this WaffleHouse only to get sick as hell....
Read moreSo i had to use stock images for this review because the food smelled so good and we were so hungry that we dove right in and didn't even think about reviews or pics or anything lol. I go to Waffle House for one thing. Say it with me... PECAN WAFFLES. I could end this review with that. They were amazing as always. So what if we had to wait 10 minutes? The WaHo on 60 in Brandon is a tight operation that is fun to watch. They had a full crew, each with a specific job and they worked together like a finely tuned machine, churning out amazing smells and plate after plate of delicious diner fare.
The hub and i both had scrambled eggs, bacon and of course, pecan waffles. One thing to note about Waffle House eggs: they are pan-scrambled. This means they do not add milk so they're never ever soggy or juicy or wet. My girls detest eggs that leave a little bit of moisture on the plate and you never have to worry about that with these eggs. They are rich, real, delicious and perfectly cooked.
Not all of us were in a breakfast mood, even though it was technically still Saturday morning. The child opted for lunch. My daughter, who curled her lip at the lack of french fries, was converted by a side of smothered hashbrowns to go with what she called "the best burger i ever had in my life." (Granted, her life has been fairly short but it was a really good diner burger). She was happy. Our food came quickly and it was fun to watch it being prepared before our eyes. It was also fun to make it disappear. No one said a word as we demolished the meal. There were no survivors and we left full, happy and not broke. A...
Read moreMy order was a to-go order. I drove there, placed my order, paid and left. Because I had my son with me and my family was waiting for me to bring food back I didn't double check my receipt before I left but I did think it was really odd that for All Stars plus a large coffee and one orange juice cost over $80. When I got home and I'm packed everything I double checked my receipt and that's where I saw that I was charged and additional service fee of $6.50 and a to-go order fee of $6.50 plus I did put like a $2 tip on there just around the bill up to 85 so I hadn't even number on my bank statement. I just think it's really odd to have to pay a service fee when I did not eat in the restaurant, therefore no one had to clean up behind me or my family, or continuously check on us to see if we needed our drinks refilled etc. As far as the to go order fee honestly I get that a lot of places are doing additional charges now fine If you want to charge me for the plastic containers at the food was packaged in I'm actually okay with that The only issue I have is that there is nothing to indicate that you will get hit with that charge. There is no sign and the cashier mention nothing when she took my order. I hardly go here, but in the past I've always enjoyed the service and the food is more nostalgic than it is good however considering the new cost associated with this particular venue... I likely...
