When I first moved to the area and discovered this restaurant, I was very pleased. The food was good, and the choices were many. All good. Something happened. An employee told me that ownership had changed. So did the food. My husband and I ordered the hamburger steak, it came out with a wilted side salad that only consisted of brownish lettuce. Strike one. We decided to give them the benefit of a doubt and tried again. We ordered nachos. (We had ordered this before and it was quite good and pretty like the image shown on another review on this site) We were served wilted chips with canned cheese poured over it. We told the girl at the counter that it was not what we ordered and she argued that it could not be exchanged. I told my husband then that we were not going back. Strike two. Last evening we decided to give them another shot and was craving nachos again. I ask the girl at the counter to make sure it was nachos with meat and looked like the picture on display of their nachos. She assured me that it would be and that it had cheese sauce and jalapenos scattered on top. When it was brought to out table, my husband and I looked at each other and our faces dropped. I wish I had taken a picture. It was not on the oval plate as displayed. It was in a round bowl and honestly looked like cat food. The meat was mushy, the chips were soggy and the cheese sauce and jalapenos scattered on top was canned cheese sauce with jalapeno chips . (the kind you can buy at the grocery store.) Usually I get the Angus burger or the Chicken Basket with steak fries, unfortunately they only get the order correct about 40% of the time when we call it in (it really just depends on how many new hires they have at the time we order). When they have new hires working they need a better training regimen and DO NOT let them handle call in orders until after they've been there for a few months.

This last time we called one in and spoke with a new hire that claimed they didn't have Dr. Pepper (which I know they do we get it every time we go there). We had to argue with them to get wedge fries with my Chicken Basket and had to repeat everything two or three times, the lady even repeated back our order!

When we went to pick up the order my Chicken Basket was MIA. We had ordered a taco salad without lettuce, but they put lettuce on it (which was wilted and nasty). Instead of offering to fix it or make it correct the lady at the window stated that is how she had the order written down and slammed the window shut on us. Later we called the manager and reported the problem to her, but no attempt was ever made to fix it for us.

From now on I think we'll stick to eating in rather than phone ordering it or go else where. I would advise anyone else to...

The food is good, if you're looking for the basics. Most of the menu is texmex and the rest is burgers, salad and seafood. That means they have something for almost everyone. The service is great now. Every once in a while the young girls are a bit rude, but it sends to be corrected quickly. The atmosphere is a very cozy, small town, relaxed feel. I love coming to this place! I feel welcome during every visit. They don't even mind my picky kids or the strange things they order. If you want fancy food, this isn't it. If you want comfort food, try this place out. P.S. if you ever have a problem with your order, a polite comment to the staff will have them talking care of the problem immediately.
