The only reason this place is getting four stars is because of the young girls working there. Rachel and Michelle are hands down the best employees at this business. Rachel always greets customers with a smile and her positive attitude makes for a good time at this business. Michelle is the sweetest employee she is caring and always makes sure every customer is happy. She even takes the time to provide great customer service by getting to know each customer and remembering the small detials. For the other person on this review that said Michelle gave a dirty look I dont think this was intentional I think that is just her resting face because she is very very kind when interacting with each and every customer. As for the other young girls you can tell they are new to customer service but eager to learn. The new owner is where this business lost a star from my review. Vanita is unprofessional for a business owner. She doesnt seem to care about the business. She sits in the back on her phone instead of interacting with her employees. She should be helping her employees work when it gets busy instead of sitting on her laptop. She doesnt interact with the customers like the old owners used to and so she is not building up customer relationships. Customers come back to this business because of the relationship they build with the workers. In this case people only come back for the young girls working and not the owner. Thats why they are losing business. There are other ice cream businesses in the neighborhood and if Vanita doesnt work on building better customer relationships this business will fail. If she has a bad relationship with customers I dont know how she can be managing her employees. I started going to Jack Frost about five years ago I always get a large vanilla cone l paid almost 5.00 dollars it’s well worth it to me Jack Frost ice cream is the best . I took my sister in law about a year ago she loved it . I took my mom on August 27,23 I told her their last day for the year would be September. My mom told me she has to go back before they close for year. I took my mom on September 23,23 my sister was with us she waited until our order was ready she was brought our order to car she asked who’s this big ice cream my mom said that’s hers referring to me I said know that’s yours I had the sugar cone but I sure wished I had that big one i don’t know if the sugar cone comes in large but I got one more week to visit Jack Frost before season end . This place is an Oak Forest institution and has the best soft serve in the South Suburbs. The offer ice cream, treats, and more. Now, you may ask what they mean by "...and more". For me, the "...and more" is that nostalgic feeling I get while having a dipped twist cone. Each time I come here I harken back to little league baseball and coming here with the team after a win.
