"Don't have parties here"

Came one night to eat dinner and heard that they do parties in the next room. The OWNER explained to us how it goes so we decided to have a small party there. The day comes and it was nothing to what we were TOLD. First of all, we told her that we would be there at 430 to set up. Party was at 5. We did BUFFET style. Which the pricing isn't right because our conformation said $50 for half Quesadillas but it's advertised on the sheet SHE gave us as $40. Let it slide. Anyhow the food was not brought out until 530. I get you have customers, but be more prepared when you have a bigger group that gave notice in advance. Next thing you know customers are being sat in that room. We were TOLD it was for parties. So our party and another party for example because they do by tables NOT "rent the room." We were also TOLD we could close the main door so customers weren't bothered by us yet you sat customers there??? Why not explain that it would happen if busy? It wouldn't have been a problem, but that was not what we were TOLD. We were also TOLD we could use the door that was in the room so we didn't have to go thru the main entrance. But was told NO day of because customers would get cold?? That's not MY problem tho. So why tell us that was an option when all my guests were trying to get in there because I told them because I WAS TOLD WE COULD. (It's in a small plaza so beware for parking also if having a big crowd too.) Little things like that made the party not worth having there. We made the best of it, but think twice before saying yes to here because you will be told one thing and it'll be something...

First time here 4/5/25. This is our new spot! Loved every bite of the meals and desserts we had. Hubby had the grilled shrimp burrito with beans, rice, avocado, etc. And he ate the entire burrito. I know this may not sound appetizing but I had a burrito with beer battered cod🤯. I felt as though I was being adventurous 😅(never put that in a burrito before), which normally I am not lol. It was delicious! I couldn't eat it all due to its size but wow I would order it again and again! I have an aversion to cilantro and the server remembered I said that! They did not add cilantro in any dishes on my plate, I appreciate that. The pico was on the side and it was not cilantro heavy, but I could still taste it darn it😭. Their pico is so good according to my hubby. For dessert, we tried the cheesecake with pecans and caramel, absolutely delicious. I told my hubby he better get me a cheesecake each time we go! The apple tart ala mode was hitting all the right taste buds too🤤. Burritos 18 bucks a piece, desserts $10 a piece, and can't forget the salsa that we loved so much we had to buy a 16oz size and bring it home, that was $10. Yes, the complimentary chips and salsa were great! Great meal, friendly service, the owners are the chef and the baker that made these tasty meals. Talented I tell you!

Went Friday night around 7pm. We saw the amazing reviews and wanted to try this place out. We got seated and they brought chips and salsa pretty quick but then we had to wait at least 15min for anyone to bring water or ask what we wanted to drink. We had been seated in the middle of the restaurant right near the bar so every waiter/waitress and busboy walked past constantly. When the waitress did arrive she said sorry, no one told me they sat you in my section. We ordered both drinks and food at the same time since service seemed slow. We got our drinks, they were ok. We wait another 30min for food and nothing. People who had walked in after us were already halfway through their meal and we hadn’t gotten ours. All we had ordered was 5 tacos. No sides, nothing special. We finally ask to pay for our drinks and leave because we had been sitting so long. Service was beyond slow, drinks were only ok and they didn’t offer to try and fix the situation. They tried to blame the slow service on the large party their had in their other room but we said that doesn’t explain how people who walked in after us got food first and they didn’t know what to say.
