My husband and I went to Marcotte’s with my son and a friend on New Years Day. We all 4 sat at the bar with no issue. We paid IN CASH as we drank, EVERY time! Not ONE of us opened a tab. I have since been back in the new year, and NOTHING of an OPEN tab was addressed to me. Why on January 13, does my husband come home with a $39 tab, in MY name, supposedly from New Years Day? 1.) We never ran a tab, we paid CASH all night, as we drank. 2.) Why is the ticket dated January 13, and NOT January 1? As a person who has ran several different POS systems, I know that at the end of a shift, all open tickets/orders/tabs MUST be cashed out, hence showing a date for said OPEN TAB, NOT a ticket dated 2 weeks out. Also, do you allow children to sit at your bar, who knows? One night he’s allowed, and others not. He’s even sat at the bar with the manager bartending! We appreciate this, and my son loves it! Just get ALL of your staff on the same team, not one staff member doing this, and another staff member doing this. My son, who is autistic, gets confused, and hurt when turned away from the bar, the same bar that he sat at yesterday. This in turn hurts me.

I work at one of the local businesses in Crestwood, so I went here for a drink during my lunch break (don’t judge me). I was completely ignored. A group of 3 white women came in and were offered menus and drinks specials immediately. I’m comfortable being the only black person, but I just assumed they were busy. Needless to say, I don’t think this place is friendly to my kind and it’s illegal to say it so they just show it. I quietly left without ordering or being given the opportunity to order.

The first few times I've been I've liked the food but the service left something to be desired. After the last two times there I can confidently say that I will never go again. Don't even try to get a drink if you're not a regular and know the bartender by first name. Bartenders are absolutely awful at their jobs and would much rather flirt and gossip than actually do their job. Waited 25 minutes to be asked if I wanted a drink or food. And a side note, bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and there's regularly men in the...

If I could give zero star I would. I have been to this bar multiple times before. I grew up here but moved to Florida two years ago. The bartender tonight denied me because my ID was from Florida. Didn’t know that you could only accept Illinois ID’s here. Bartender was very rude. I told her to call the cops if she thought it was fake. Never in my life will my family, friends, or myself go back there we are all ever upset. Shame on the bartender. P.S Blarney Stone, Flannery’s, and Clovers are much better...
