Hi, my name is Kacy and I tried to support a black owned business. Unfortunately, as is to be expected, the business was a major disappointment. Just left there without my order. I placed my order by telephone at 6:04pm and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. Having been there before I know that the order is never ready when they say that it will be and I arrived at 7:30pm. I waited in line for an additional 15mins with only one person being ahead of me. In the interim, I observed that the business has expanded and now there's seating to allow for eating at the establishment but there was no waitress. Many patrons had the buzzers that light up when your ticket is ready but food was behind the counter stacking up and then being given in groups instead of being given as bagged. There was only one person working both the register and pick-up window, thus the 15 minutes wait. Also, the phone was ringing off the hook and the staff simply ignored it. The cashier returned to the window and I advised her of my call in order. She called out the name and I noticed that no one was bringing the order to the window. The cashier went to check the order and returned with no food but related that the order was $51.00. I inquired about the order and was advised that there were 3 orders ahead of mine. I reminded her that the order was suppose to have been ready and told her that I no longer wanted anything. She asked if I were cancelling the order. I walked out the door thinking, "No, you canceled the order when it wasn't ready". I can honestly say that I will not be returning to this business. I predict that this business will either close the additional space or the entire establishment within the next year. Any business plan that allows for money to walk out the door or for patrons not returning is a disaster waiting to happen. Simply making rent or salaries when leaving additional potential profit on the table is a bad business model. Read moreI used to eat here all the time, after yesterday I will never go back. I called and placed an order of 1/2 pan of rib tips with a small dry bbq sauce on the side for both seeing as how I don't eat bbq sauce on my good. I waited the 45 mins to pick up my order drove all the way home and open the pan of tips and all I see is bbq sauce everywhere. There was even a layer of sauce at the bottom of the pan, I called and asked was I given the wrong order and they told me no you asked for sauce on it. No I asked for sauce on the side, the woman on the phone then asked the girl who wrote my order down did I ask for sauce on the side and she says ooh yeah she did. I clearly hear them talking in the background about how to handle the situation and they come up with telling me to bring back the food they messed up and they will refund me my 50 dollar, excuse me but I didn't asked for a refund I just wanted my food the right way I ordered it. P.S. I thought the policy was to never accept food back that left the location and went home with someone? Isn't that a health code violation? I worked with many different restaurants and they all had the same policy. I spoke with the staff explained my order, once I got home, my order was a disaster, chicken was not completed done, bloody at the bone, request for sauce not to be put on one order of the fries, they drenched the fries anyway with sauce for both orders, hot links missing, meat tasted like water no seasoning. Since this was dinner we weren’t able to eat it!!! The staff had bad attitudes, they continued to go back and forth outside to smoke because of the constant customer complaints!!! Here we go again, providing bad food, bad customer service and even more defrauding the public by keeping the name Ribs & Soul!!! When will we stop patronizing businesses that don’t respect the community enough to provide us with no less then they would expect, and get made when we complain.
