BR Bar — Restaurant in Rich Township

We flew in late from out of town and very few establishments werent open for dine in. We came across this place and thought wed give it a try. There were more pros than cons and I wanted to share my experience.

Pros- 1.Great security. They were extremely thorough and pleasant. Their customer service was honestly top tier. While they took their role seriously, they were all nice at the same time. Some even took the role of assuring we had our food and occasionally checked in.

2.Waitress was very pretty, nice and honest about the food options. She knew the menu and prices.

Music was great.

Appetizers were really good. We ordered the sampler, 50 cent wings and french fries. It was nice and hot.

Pro and Con Drinks were good. We ordered the top shelf long island. For $16 i expected a tall glass and not a wine plastic cup. We also ordered the Country Club Peach Shot drink. That was really good.

Cons-

Chicken alfredo was overpriced. Im not 100% but it had a frozen bag of pre sliced chicken taste with bottled alfredo sauce feel. 0/10 do not recommend. I almost never waste food and i left it there. A PRO to the chicken alfredo is they give you a huge portion of noodles. So if you're not picky, go for it.

The establishment is a little dated.

I personally would do some rebranding and market this place as a known late night establishment to experience with the best wings in town. (This will attract those who are late night eaters. Most kitchens close at 10 around there ) Limit the menu and upscale the presentation to match the prices. Stick to appetizers and a variety of wings and sauces. And maybe a brunch during the day. The place was pretty nice, plenty of room with a lovely patio area. DJ was good as well. Although I did not have any food, it looked delicious. It was my first visit to the establishment. I even met the manager/owner, who seemed to be accommodating. However, I was here for an event yesterday. When I got there the place was packed out from the front to the back. There were two people, a male and a female, assisting with parking who walked up to my husband and I and told us that parking would be $10. Another guest was told that parking was $20. We were clearly under the impression that parking was free. We later found out that, in fact, it was free and our money was returned to us. Imagine how many people paid for free parking whose money was not returned to them. Secondly, a bottle of wine was given to me WARM as it was stated, by the bartender that there were no more glasses available. She didn't at least ASK me if I would take a plastic up with ice maybe. However, tables were sitting, completely loaded with garbage and glasses, that no one from the staff had cleaned for a VERY long time. I actually carried glasses back to the bar myself. In fairness, maybe it was the crowd, which I can't believe an establishment like this isn't used to. Or, maybe it's the work ethic and character of the staff when under pressure. My fiancé and I were trying to find something nice to do for a date night and it came down to choosing between either the last showtime at the movies or a late yet lively dinner. Based on the review we obviously chose dinner, and we also obviously regret that decision. It was 11pm on a Friday night and the restaurant’s website seemed promising, upon arrival not only was it quite slow for a Friday night It was also unappealing. We were greeted by a mute and expressionless bouncer who checked our I.D’s. We assumed we were to seat ourselves and we had no problem doing so since every single table was vacant, which was a red flag but we proceed with date night. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who turned out to be our waitress and she was great from beginning to end (even though all of our food did not come to the table at the same time) and I find it unfortunate our great service was masked by the smell of moth balls, cheap and outdated decor, music too loud for the amount of empty space, and overpriced disgusting food. Can’t imagine ordering anything more than an appetizer and a glass of water. I apologized to my fiancé for choosing the place and we went home to relieve our babysitter an hour after our arrival to this place. Literally prayed I didn’t get sick due to the food quality.
