Every time I’ve dined with Pancho Villa, I’ve received the best service and an absolutely delicious meal.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and definitely made with love. This is a family owned business.. and the family, not just the waiter/waitress, always comes to your table to check and make sure you are enjoying your meal & are well taken care of.
I personally love the street tacos. The meat is seasoned & cooked perfectly (comes with 4 street tacos rice and refried beans) … they also provide an appropriate amount of onions and cilantro.. which is nice considering some restaurants don’t add enough. However those are optional depending on your preference.
I typically don’t like refried beans, but I can’t get enough of them at Pancho Villa. You can taste & tell through the food that the chef cooks with their heart.. and it’s wonderful. If you like spicy… the red salsa is the best I’ve had. I wish I could buy this in bulk.
I highly recommend Pancho Villa to anyone wanting authentic Mexican food made by a family who truly puts love into their food and their customer service. I will be dining...
Read moreVisited yesterday from Austin. Reviews were high, so we were really looking forward to checking this place out.
Homemade chips, salsa and guacamole were all excellent, which got us really excited; but then the food came.
The barbacoa looked and tasted like brisket boiled in a watery tomato sauce. The rice was watery and bland, with a texture more like cauliflower rice. My mom’s chicken chalupas were coated in a white, lumpy creamy mixture that had soured. Not sure if it was sour cream or the crumbly white cheese, either way - it was off-putting. Her chicken had almost no seasoning. My brother’s steak street tacos were so charred it appeared to be ground beef.
My toddler spit out her chicken nuggets and refused to eat them. The kids at the table all sampled and agreed that they were inedible. Her fries were barely starting to turn brown (visibly not cooked enough).
The fact that we paid over $100 for a meal most of us didn’t eat was really disappointing. Maybe we were there on an off day - but it’s a rare occasion when the entire party’s food...
Read moreMy family and I stopped here on our way back home. The service was GREAT, but the food, not so much. The rice and beans were super bland. I mean, none of us have had rice and beans from a restaurant that were quite this bad. The salsa was so hot that no one from my family could eat it. I personally am a hog for mexican food and will clear my plate completely, but it was a little different here. I only ate about half my enchilada plate, and that does not include the rice and beans (which were not touched after the first bite). No one from my family finished their food, because it just was not that good. Later that night after eating from your restaurant , we all felt pretty icky. I personally felt the need to throw up multiple times. A few of us had stomach issues as well. I am not sure what needs to change here, but something needs to change.
So like I said, Service was great, but the food definitely needs a lot of...
