Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Brenham

I've driven past Dairy Bar several times, and always wondered why they had such a long line around lunch. Today, I found out. If you're looking for a great burger in Brenham, look no further than Dairy Bar.

Food: Dair Bar has an expansive menu, but the main draw is the burgers. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Curly Fries, but there are healthier options available.

Make no mistake, this is a well-crafted burger. There's no gimmicks about it being 100% Angus, or "smashed" in a ridiculous way. This is just a good patty on a fresh bun. It's a "backyard burger", but is likely better than anything you've ever made at home.

The only oddity here is the off-brand condiments. Ketchup is essentially a side-dish when you're having burgers and fries, and a less likely to watery ketchup would be ideal.

Price: For the quality, flavor, and portions, Dairy Bar is surprisingly affordable. It's in line with Whataburger or Five Guys in menu pricing, but the quality is far superior.

Location: This place is SMALL. The building is small, the parking lot is small, and the drivethrough reaches capacity easily. On a positive note, things move at a brisk pace, and the dedicated team of burger-slingers will get your order out ASAP.

Overall: There's several places in Brenham vying for your business. If you're in the mood for a burger, you could do a whole lot worse than Dairy Bar....

First of all, we had heard very good things about the food at this place so since we were passing through Brenham, we thought we would give it a try. It looked fairly busy but the line went pretty fast. We ordered a couple of hamburgers and an order of onion rings and drinks. The inside is very plain and that’s fine but appears to need a good cleaning. The table we decided to sit on was dirty so I grabbed some napkins and wiped it off. No biggy, I know, you get busy and can’t get to it right away. So…we got our food and it really was delicious! They know what they’re doing in the kitchen! Kudos to the cook!! We were just about done with our lunch when a ROACH crawled across the table! I nearly fell out my chair!!! I thought I was going to scream! I shook the table trying to get it off the table and it did finally fall to the floor. The floor is so disgusting. It has hairballs and food and just looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. That is where the roach ran to. I went to tell the lady at the counter discreetly. She didn’t seem surprised or even concerned. I feel like they know they have roaches. That’s just nasty!! Don’t avoid the problem, it’ll just get worse!And if there’s one, there are many, many more!! Everywhere in that building! Please clean the restaurant and call...

Come to this place a lot for my family. Since we live two blocks over. Never, have I ever felt so humiliated because of the cashier name Lisa that works there. I walked in to get an order I had placed for pick up. I had told Lisa right away that if she can change the gravy order to ranch (it's for my daughter) she said with an ugly attitude "well we already made it".. so I just thought oh well I'll just pay the extra and get the ranch any way.. so when she came back I apologized to her for making her feel as if she needed to respond to me that way.. she just kind of said "yeah ok!" Still with small attitude... so I asked her why the hostile manner towards me and her response was "I yelled at her" which is not true because there were several people who got inline behind me.. so I try to apologize again. Maybe I was being a little deaf tone. Sometimes I cannot recognize the volume level in my voice and I notified her about this and see didn't care. She was ready for me to get out of her sight...
