Riverside Bar — Restaurant in Brevard

I was skeptical of going here for dinner, only because I’m a weird eater. I don’t eat meat and I feel like you gotta love a greasy burger to really enjoy the bar food experience. I was wrong. They were out of everything (except for fish and chips) because it was a Sunday evening and they don’t overbuy food since they are closed Monday and Tuesday. I love this and so appreciate they run out and limit options instead of overbuy and end up having to throw away food. So, the burger loving, meat eaters in the group, and I, all got fish and chips. Insert drool-all-over-myself emoji here. It was soooo good. Side of coleslaw, also delicious. This was a nice local bar in Pisgah Forest,NC. We called ahead and placed a large takeaway order which was ready as promised within 30 minutes. The staff was nice on the phone and very helpful and efficient in the restaurant even offering to help me get our order to the car and all were wearing masks. The bar area was full with locals enjoying a pint and watching the game. The Keema Curry and Keema Fries were delicious and had a nice spice level to them. Garlic Naan was the perfect accompaniment! Bangers and Mash were very good as well. The samosas and sausage rolls were delicious appetizers. We had lots of dipping sauces as well... Loved the creamy cucumber dip. I have been going in here for some time, I play the machines, I have lost alot and won some too. We always buy our drinks from the gas station beside it. This last week the bartender came up to me at the machine and said I needed to buy something if I'm going to be in there (never been told this before. I bought a beer and took one drink out of it, well she didn't like that at all. I go in there tonight and she said you didn't even drink the one you had yesterday. I don't drink beer but if I paid for it why does she care. I asked her if she had just a soda that I could buy and she told me the cold drinks are for regulars that drink.
