Taco Bell — Restaurant in Bridgeport Charter Township

So, it's Taco Bell. I don't go there expecting haute cuisine, but this Taco Bell is notably worse than others. This is the ONLY Taco Bell I've ever been to that routinely has me pull ahead to wait, even if I'm the only person in the drive through, even if I'm only ordering a single, small item. I'm aware it is to do with their metrics, but improving that particular metric to assuage their corporate overseers is going to make the "people will spend money here" metric fall; which I imagine is more important. Further, they have priced everything ridiculously. They used to have a "build your own" box on the app that was $4.99 up until around 2023. It went up to $5.99 sometime in 2024 and has since gotten renamed to "build your own luxe box" with the same choices, but now costs $9.99. That outstrips inflationary increases by several dollars.

Every other fast food place has a "meal deal" that is reasonably priced. Taco Bell, which used to be the cheapest option to order ala carte, not only doesn't have a reasonably priced meal, but has cranked up the prices for even their cheapest items to ridiculous levels while simultaneously reducing the amount of ingredients on those items. It's insane.

Finally, for this location in particular, the fried items (chips, pizza shells, chalupa shells, etc.) often taste of old grease. Even the pre-packaged corn shells often have an off/rancid taste, which leads me to believe they aren't rotating out old stuff like...

Orders I place are often incorrect and I end up having to get them fixed, my meal today was served cold, dripping grease and oil all over the bag and my table. I was the only person in the drive through today, and despite the wait leading me to believe the food would be freshly prepared and up to normal taco bell standards, I was heavily disappointed. The young woman working the window was not friendly, didn't listen to the order I placed, and was not fast. Severe disappointment, which is surprising because I don't expect much out of taco bell when I go there. This location would do better as an empty lot, as the service I received likely carries through to other customers, causing them to lose money just to run the store....

Let me first say that up until today this has been my favorite location for Taco Bell. Today I was basically rushed through the drive through, not given a receipt, the woman forgot my order and gave me a look when I said I got more than one taco. Then to top it all off they forgot my water. I don't expect perfection, but a receipt, the correct items, and a professional attitude are kind of expected. I do don't feel comfortable eating somewhere where I am mean mugged for ordering more than one item and not given a receipt. Someone behind me drove off and I honestly can't blame them. I won't be coming back...
