Panaro's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Bridgeport

First time... in my ENTIRE LIFE... that I have had not one complaint... NOT EVEN A SINGLE, TINY whisperrrrr OF A COMPLAINT IN MY BRAIN.

PERFECT.

So, let's begin!

First item: Large Cheese Pizza Half with pepperoni and the other half with extra cheese Baked to perfection with just the right crust - sauce - cheese ratio. Not too sweet from the sauce/crust, and not too salty from the cheese (even on the extra cheesy side); balanced and delicious. Keep a napkin handy. :D

Second item: 10 piece wing (two 5 piece orders) Five hot, five mild The hot(test) wings belong to mwuah, and it was a flavorful heat; so no nose-watering going on but it was DELECTABLE. These are good-sized wings, so even though it comes in a five piece, you're basically getting seven or eight of those little guys out there. Dare say maybe even ten! They are probably up there in my top five favorite wings over the past year (and I'm more of a burn-your-face-off wing flavored loving person)!

Third item: Large Pasta with Alfredo Sauce -With linguine; add chicken, broccoli (FOR JUST $3!!!! WHAAAAT?); ranch with salad; comes with a garlic knot, that I could not try before feeling the urge to type this up; also, cause I was stuffed... .. p.p

The food here is good. Their pizza is great when you are craving something cheesy and greasy.

Only reason this place doesn't get more stars is because of one bad delivery service. I haven't ordered from this place since. I work at a hospital and ordered for delivery for my department. They said 45 minutes. After an hour I get a call from the delivery guy saying he's outside, but then he asks where I'm at so I head towards the front entrance and tell him I'm right in front. He then proceeds to inform he hasn't arrived yet. 10 minutes go by and I get paged so I ask another staff member to wait for me. The staff member calls me 5 minutes later and tells me they got paged and I inform them I'm almost done. As I head to the elevator to head downstairs, the delivery driver calls to say he is here. When I get to the lobby he was arguing with the concierge to take and pay for the pizza and have whoever ordered pay them back. The concierge informed him, she couldn't do that. Then when I walk up to him he starts yelling at me in the MAIN LOBBY OF A HOSPITAL that I'm wasting his time cause he has other deliveries to get to (as if working at a hospital isn't stressful enough). I gave him a $3 tip (was going to give him $5) and in hindsight I shouldn't have given him anything. He looks at the $3 and starts saying "what is this?" and starts shoving the money towards me. And I'm like "what? that's your tip." And he insists I pay for the pizza and I inform him I paid through grubhub, I don't want to imagine what would have happened if I never gave him a tip. A security officer was nearing because the guy's body language was very aggressive. Then he calls Panaro's who informs him yes, I had indeed paid through grubhub. He hangs up and storms out. I really hope this guy got fired. I waited a long time to add this review and decided not to report him. The pizza was barely warm and the other food was warm enough.

I don't order from here anymore. I recommend Paramount down the street if you're looking for the delivery. The owner, workers, and drivers are...

The pizza is super oily and soggy. Sometimes the food is okay,It’s the customer service. This has been happening recently where my husband and I have ordered food from there (which we don’t normally order out a lot); but we have ordered from there a few times, possibly 4 times? And the last two times we were bothered for a tip. We have always tipped VERY well. We were raised to tip always whether it’s good customer service or bad customer service because it’s just the right thing to do. They come and they deliver , the least you can do is tip right! But again the last two times , one of the drivers came out of the car and asked for me to sign the receipt and specifically said “do not forgot to give me a tip”. As the car was across the street and I was standing at our gate. I thought it was odd he came first with the tip. He watched and made sure I signed and gave the tip before going back across the street to give me the food and leave. Now that was the first time. The second time I was with my younger brother in law in the rain and a new/different driver handed us the food but when giving the receipt gave a snark attitude to tip him. My brother in law felt the energy and attitude and told me afterwards that it made him uncomfortable.

Again we are respectful with all drivers/deliveries/ places, all types of services and we always tip!! But I think I will no longer be ordering from here because of how uncomfortable I have been feeling by the drivers who are delivering the food. It’s just been awkward and I don’t want to be immediately harassed for the tip before even being able to say “hello” or even receive...
