I want to start by saying what a phenomenal waitress we had. Doris was kind, caring & made sure we were very well taken care of. When you think of a picture perfect waitress- Doris is it! I hope she sees this because she was outstanding. The service was excellent and she did a great job.

The food was awful. All of our pizzas were burnt. The waitress helped us and had two of our pizzas remade. However, even the remade pizzas were burnt too. One of the pizzas weren’t cooked thoroughly in the middle but burnt beyond belief on the edge. The manager we spoke with had every excuse in the book- no matter what time of day, the pizza should come out great. Do not stand there and make excuses when a paying customer is telling you about the experience with their pizza. Whether it is lunch time or dinner or late night, the pizza should come out fairly the same and not burnt. It is so disappointing. I have worked in the restaurant industry as a server and whenever there was an issue, the food would either be taken off the receipt or a gift card would be provided. I am extremely disappointed. I am confused as to where the manners are from the manager. A manager is not there to just write things off and ignore them; the manager is there to help work through situations and resolve them.

Basically I'm a customer of New Haven for years. Since I was a kid. I have went to Fairfield a couple times in the past. Let me tell you my experience in Jun 2025. First I walk in and I notice a bunch of ganster looking tattoo thugs working. Even a Spanish female at the counter had at least 10 small tattoos all over her hands. I then had arrived before my sister who was right down the road. I knew what to order. I was going to sit and order our pies . She literally was down the road. A rude hood rat dude with zero tact tells me he can't sit me at a table. Even know I was ready to order my pie but just because my sis didn't walk in yet he rudely refused to sit me and proceeded to sit a couple who came in after me. I was beyond upset. As I look around it looks like they recruited all the thugs they could find from father panic village. I was so upset that me and my sis went to SALLYS down the road...Let me tell you...They are beyond nice . It was like going from Father Panic to the Westport Yacht club. It was a nice environment and the staff was 10x more professional. No comparison if you care about quality staff and happy employees that are hand picked from Fairfield area go to SALLYS....Who ever hires the staff at Pepes Fairfield should be fired before they ruin this place. Ill never go to this...

The best pizza we have ever had!! As you can see the photo below I couldn’t wait to dig in and this review only got half of the pie lol. The server Deborah was super nice and attentive. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, as this place does get busy and just know it is worth the wait. The brick oven style pizza is so flavorful it literally melts in your mouth.

We were served our appetizers and a short time later the Manager De’Vae came over to apologize for the delay in getting our pizza. He openly admitted that our tickets got mixed up and our pizzas would be out shortly. As a favor he comped one of the pizzas to make things right.

To be super honest we didn’t think that the wait from appetizer to pizza was that long but to have a manager of an establishment openly admit that a mistake was made and rectify it immediately shows integrity and admiration for this pizza restaurant. Kudos to De’Vae for being a good leader.
