Yard Jerk — Restaurant in Bridgeport

This place used to be good but I don’t know what happened. I am so turned off by this place I have to let everyone know. I called to order food a week ago and the food was not only disgusting but the portions was small for the price. I ordered two fried chicken dinner and two oxtail. I told the man over the phone that I wanted oxtail gravy on my chicken and when I opened the bag to my surprise there was no gravy on the chicken he just threw a little gravy on the rice and the chicken was so dry I almost choked. And not to mention it was burned so it seemed as if they re-fried the chicken because they were too lazy to fry a fresh batch. My sister even said that it seemed as if the re-fried the chicken she didn’t enjoy her meal either. And worst of all their portion is small my parents both ordered oxtail when my father opened the bag he was so upset to see the portion they shared for us. To add injury to insult my mom ordered a cow foot soup and the yam and dumplings were burned and there was no meat just bone. My parents love this place. They literally stop and get food from them on the way home from work almost every other day. So I figured I try it one day. I went into the shop and there was No Customer service what so ever. I waited 20 mins to try to place a order and that was because the worker was literally on the phone hee hee’ing and haha’ing. I couldn’t believe it! She was taking her timeee and I’m just standing there patient calm. Finally the worker decided to take my order because she was talking to a friend and she asked them what they wanted for FREE, and i spoke over her and said I would like a medium rice and peas. She then told me she was going to take my order. I really snapped on that lady because if I had not said anything she would not have ASKED ME HOW CAN SHE HELP ME OR WHAT DO I WANT TO EAT FOR THAT MATTER . Yard Jerk food is usually good. However it doesn’t always hit the mark. My experience this morning was messed up. I asked the server what meat was in the stew peas, she told me chicken foot. So I decided to get the soup instead. I don’t really like chicken foot. She said there was no chicken foot in the soup. I see her and the other server laughing. I knew there was chicken foot in the soup because of the way they were acting. Before I ate it I checked and there was the foot. Nothing against chicken foot but I don’t like it. Just my preference. Thank God I’m not allergic to it. Which is rare. If somebody say that they don’t want something you DON’T slip it in their food. My review is they can’t be trusted!!!!!
