I have been ordering from Batter and Dough for 11 years. Today I had HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They USED TO BE so customer oriented and want to do the best for you. Unfortunately that has changed. I bought a cookie cake today and a dozen cupcakes…costing $80.00. Got everything home and when I picked up the box of cupcakes they all fell over sideways. The box was so flimsy and in no way supporting the weight of the cupcakes. When I called the basically told me I mishandled the box and it was my fault. They told me on the phone I should have held it from the sides and not the bottom (which they didn’t tell me when I picked them up). Now my son has a bunch of fallen over $80.00 cupcakes with messed up icing for his birthday. You think you would pack your quality baked goods in quality packaging so your customers can get them home without them being damaged. Instead of using the trendy cardboard boxes for the look…I would have rather had the plastic cupcake containers…at least they hold the cupcakes and keep them from falling over! Never in a million years did I think I would give Batter and Dough a bad review…but today is the day. Basically told me they didn’t care and would do...

Usually I’m a planner, but this year I kind of dropped the ball on pre-ordering a cake for a birthday and so I needed one quick today! After two other failed attempts at other bakeries, I did a quick Google search and Batter and Dough popped up. I figured I could give it a try.

Now, there were no whole cakes for sale but it honestly didn’t matter because the cupcakes caught my attention. Just rows of beautiful cupcakes. I decided then to get a few things: an assorted dozen mini cupcakes, a popsicle sugar cookie, and a variety of mini cookies with buttercreams. I have to wait until tonight to try a cupcake but those cookies + buttercream are sooo good and the idea is unique, in my mind 😊 Staff is friendly, shop is clean and cute.

I have had 2 recent bigger purchases here. One was a fully custom order for an event with special event colors and details that they followed perfectly. They covered how they could incorporate tiny details down to edible glitter on a variety of items. Everything was beautiful and delicious.

Yesterday, I picked up one of their Christmas cookie boxes. The packaging was adorable, easy pickup and prepaid, so only took a few minutes. My family was very excited about the big variety and quality of the cookies. I only wish we could have ordered a half portion to take as gifts, maybe that will be an option for next year. Their cupcakes are amazing as well, you won't be disappointed by this little gem.
