Mattress Warehouse of Bridgeville — Local services in South Fayette Township

Grossly disappointed with my shopping experience at this location - doubly so based off of the rave reviews.

So let's start with the website: They offer a wide variety of mattresses as well as working under the slogan, "Sleep happens here.". Ladies and Gentleman what they don't say is that this must equally apply to employees on the clock as I was able to walk around the showroom a good 10 minutes before I even had someone approach me asking if I would like some assistance.

The store was empty. I was their only customer expecting to walk away with a mattress they had in stock (as per their website). However after this experience as well as witnessing the showroom (Spoiler Alert: Pretty much only Sterns and Foster and Tempurpedic with an occasional Seally) I am convinced this store exists solely to upsell you to one of the aforementioned brands. I'm of the mindset of not being put into a high pressure situation, and once I communicated that I think I would be taking my business elsewhere this "employee" decided to mutter something under their breath.

I'd say if the staff was any more inattentive that this would be a hit for those looking to cash in on five finger discounts. The staff cares that little about shrinkage...perhaps this location will become a nude beach in its next life?

Wide Selection, Simple to Deal With, Great Quality

I had over a month of dealing with MattressFirm, and their sales were great, but the quality of the beds and their customer service was lacking. There was also not a very large selection in store. So their trade in offer was not very valuable.

I spent over 12 hours at MattressFirm dealing with finding the right fit, and still ended up unhappily returning everything and paying a hefty 20% restocking fee. And the store was dirty, to the point where I was offered a floor model, I had to refuse because I knew it was gross.

Mattress warehouse has a much larger selection of beds in store (5x as many at least). Within 2 hours after I arrived I found the best bed I've ever tried. They key here is selection and quality. They also had good attention to hygiene in store - temperature, lighting, personal pillow protector for in-store trials. Very clean, comfortable place.

They also offer a trade in or return policy, but do not charge 20% restocking fee.

Wish I could give 1 star. We went in on Labor Day weekend very upfront about what we were looking for and very clear about what we wanted to spend. Over the last 3 weeks, we received multiple letters and a pre-approved credit card in the mail from Synchrony Bank. We were not sure where it came from until our most recent letter stated it was for our purchase at Mattress Warehouse.

We looked at only one or two mattresses before we were both extremely uncomfortable with the way Steve was treating us. We felt as if we could not leave the store without making a purchase. It was beyond coercion and extremely uncomfortable. I am in sales myself, so I understand the difference between pushing for the sales and unethical pushing with no respect for someone's financial or personal boundaries.

He ended up running our credit after lying about what he is doing and opening a credit line for us when we hadn't even decided to buy. Now I can't get in touch with corporate about this situation.
