I really want to like this place. The food is really good, good flavor, and love that they have empanadas here. Those are hard to find and they taste great. I had the chicken empanada and a chicken quesadilla today. The quality of the ingredients is really good, tastes fresh. The big problem I have about this place is the price. Everything is on the expensive side, which would be ok if I got a bit more for what I’m paying for. My quesadilla is 16.99 and only came with a little bit of sour cream. Typically when I order quesadillas from other restaurants, I also get a bit of pico and guac. Maybe even a bit of rice and beans. At minimum I was expecting just even a bit of pico. For 17$ I think that’s reasonable. If the price were lower ($10-13) I’d still be a bit disappointed but would probably still order more often. We got burritos here before that were 16$ each (pretty high price for a burrito) and again, it’s not a huge burrito and served with nothing else. Maybe some fries? Or some other side?
With fiestas right down the block where you can get a burrito/quesadilla for cheaper, pick whatever toppings you want and get a much larger burrito, it’s hard to make the case to come back and order from here.
If the prices were lower, or if I got a bit more for my money, I’d definitely order more and would give this place a...
Read moreMy husband said that it seemed like they were making up their own prices. When my husband asked about the special promotion he was upcharged for the guacomole and hot sauce. "Brown rice" was misleading and was really white rice with soy sauce on it. I got a bowl with chicken, "brown" rice, lettuce and tomatoes. The chicken was very dry and the lettuce was wilted and old. The guacamole was an extra charge and came in 2 tiny containers on the side. My husband got a "steak" bowl that was shaved beef, white rice, and lettuce. He said it was tasty, but his portion size was disappointing. We won't be back due to the pricing and the quality of the food not matching. The total cost was $50 for our 2...
Read moreI had been waiting weeks for González to open up. When I saw that they were finally open I immediately pulled over passing by only my way home.
Bridgewater has been in need of a solid Mexican restaurant and González is answering that need. My experience was exactly what I was hoping for — they 100% delivered.
The wait staff was pleasant, interior was clean and bright, and most importantly, the food hit the spot.
I ordered the street tacos and a fully loaded burrito. Both were awesome!
