Beth's Kitchen in lovely Bridgton,ME. Oh boy. This was one of the finest Cafe's I have ever been to. Nice setting, not too cluttered and beautiful artwork on the walls. Street view tables and in nicer weather, sidewalk tables. Met the owner and she was a personable and polite person. Her front on the house person was happy and positive making for excellent service. Had a late breakfast with my mother and daughter. Two large pancakes with butter, syrup and a side of bacon for the little one. My mother and I had the Hash, 2 eggs, choice of toast and corned beef hash. I also enjoyed a side of Duck Bacon. It was very good. The hash came out with a surprise. Had onion, green pepper and I think carrot slivers mixed with fresh potatoes and strips of corned beef. Most certainly home made. It was heavenly. I also enjoyed a well poured and we'll made single espresso. No real downsides to speak of. Prices are high for the area, but not high considering the quality, quantity and presentation. Extra dining upstairs, but no pictures of it. They even had highchairs for my little one. This is a awesome choice for breakfast all-day, lunch, a place to study and have coffee or even a date spot. You are missing out if you pass Beth's Kitchen while in the area. An easy 5 stars.

If you’re looking for the perfect breakfast spot that not only serves incredible food but also supports local farmers and producers, this is it! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The attention to detail in both the food and service is evident, and everything on the menu highlights the best of what local ingredients have to offer. I ordered the corned beef and hash with farm-fresh eggs, and it was hands down one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The corned beef was tender and flavorful, perfectly paired with crispy, golden-brown potatoes. The eggs were cooked just right, with rich, vibrant yolks that made it clear they came from happy, local hens. The homemade sourdough toast was a wonderful addition. And let’s not forget the coffee - absolutely delicious, it was smooth, bold, and the perfect complement to the meal. Beyond the amazing food, the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they take pride in serving high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. This place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fresh, thoughtfully prepared breakfast. I can’t wait to come back!

Beth's Kitchen Cafe has the looks of a higher-quality eatery, however, the looks are deceiving. It appears that nothing is made fresh to order. My focaccia pizza was taken from the display counter and handed to the back room where it was heated up using an unknown method. Could it have been a microwave oven? The result was dried out and tough toppings, a hard and rubbery crust, and an uncooked, doughy center. Do not be deceived. Even the breakfast foods were still sitting out at 2:00 pm waiting to be reheated and served. I have seen fresher food at an Irving station.

I LOOOVE BETH'S!! Situated in the heart of downtown Bridgton, adding to the charm of this small town beauty. The inside is decorated with local art and photographs, it has a very welcoming home vibe. There's seating both indoor and outdoors, but limited space. It can and will get busy at certain times. However, the staff does a great job moving everyone along. You can always order ahead and or to go. Speaking of staff, the team here is very courteous, kind and welcoming. Always happy to answer my questions about the ingredients & specials.

Now the food.. it's absolutely delicious! They use fresh ingredients that are hearty & nutrient dense. My favorites are the hash, breakfast sandwiches and quiches. Can't forget that rabbit sausage too, YUM! The flavors in the baked goods, hash dishes, and meats are just phenomenal. The chef knows the right flavor pairings! I've gotten the oatmeal several times, always tasty and the right consistency. Oatmeal is slept on, glad to see some places still carry this breakfast powerhouse. The baked goods range from biscuit, croissant, breads to scones, cookies, muffins, and everything in between! Their quiches have seasonal ingredients so they change it up often, though a great quiche is too hard to resist!

I also recently started drinking coffee so I'm by no means an expert but from what I've tried, the cappuccino here is very tasty. Balanced flavor, not too bold.

Always a great experience here, from the food to the service. Don't expect something fancy but you can tell this place is teaming with love. Thank you for all the great brunch &...

My wife cannot eat dairy. I discussed that with the woman who took my order. She suggested a sandwich with mozzarella and pesto, and said we could order it without the mozzarella. I specifically asked her if the pesto had dairy, and she said "It is fine. It does not have dairy"

My wife called them when I got home and they double checked then told us "yes, there is parmesan in pesto". So she drove back to Beth's to get a new sandwich.

Not only did they refuse to replace the sandwich, they lied to my wife and told her that I never told them that she couldn't have dairy.

When I called and spoke with Beth she was very condescending. She told me that I shouldn't expect her cashier to know what is in their food, and that I should have "asked the cooks myself". Although the woman taking my order had already been talking to them, evidently I should have intervened according to the owner.

I agree that I should probably know that there is dairy in pesto, but I think there are two more important points here

When someone serving food is asked directly if there is a specific allergen in the food they should not tell you it doesn't unless they are sure. That is the responsibility of the business selling the food.

Also, all they had to do was replace the sandwich with a dairy free one, and we would have been satisfied. Instead they lied and blamed the customer.

I have NEVER written a negative review in my life, but the way we were treated for simply wanting them to make good by their mistake...
